Brexit was a huge mistake, but I could tell that they were gonna do it when I was there in 2019. London was majority foreign-born. Older people bristled at the changes to Englishness that the immigrants were causing. Russian agents were provoking people night and day.
I bet if they could take it back, they would."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

Ha! I must have been tired this morning. 45 days. 119 days was the last guy.Originally posted by Bo Diddley View PostAnd just like that, she's done. At 119 days, Truss is the shortest serving prime minister of the UK. The Labour Party is calling for general elections. We'll see if the Conservative Party has anyone who has the ability to unite Parliament without a general election. This will be interesting to watch.

Yes, well to simply point your finger at one party and say they ruined the economy, that's pretty oversimplified, which is part of the point.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Post
Even for a political cartoon, that is comically oversimplified and draws some straight lines that don't exist.

So it is a self-own?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Parties from the Left and Right are in power in each country and those from the opposite end of the political spectrum are pointing fingers and blaming for the current state of inflation. This slide is slanted to the Left, but is still funny when you take away the subtle bias. In that sense it is a self-own, but hits both ends at the same time.
