    Let's hope not.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Bill Clinton told The Washington Post that Scalia’s death was “a great surprise. He’s so full of life. So vigorous. I thought he’d live to be 100 and my prayers are with his family.”

The former president noted that “even though we disagreed on nearly everything, I always kind of liked Justice Scalia because he never pretended to be anything he wasn’t. He was very straight forward about what he believed, and I think that’s the reason he was able to have a good friendship on the court with Justice Ginsberg, whom I appointed.

:They disagreed on virtually everything. But they both were very straight forward people. And so they could discuss and argue and still treat each other as human beings with respect. That’s what we need more of in America today.”
Clinton understands. He is more genuine and strikes a better note and is thereby a better politician.
        PLesa excuse the tpyos.

              Obama is classless.

Just think of all the chicks he can get now. Maybe he can invite Jeff Epstein to the White House too.

Sounds like his statement is as much a reaction to McConnell and Cruz. They didn't exactly let his body cool either.

We've "lucked out" in that O's appointees have all been used to fill liberal vacancies. What are conservative Senators to do? Block a nominee and the media portrays them as obstructionist (although they let Dems get away with it all the time), let one through and goodbye Heller and many other decisions. Obama's new SCOTUS pick may very well finish his stated objective of Fundamental Transformation. He's been very effective.

I agree. But they aren't the president. Greater responsibility there.

You guys are hilarious. You see a tweet and assume that is the entirety of his statement?

I hate to disappoint you, but he said lots of nice things about Scalia.

The four libs on the Court always vote together on any case that has a political/cultural element to it. The same can't be said of two of the remaining conservatives. The last Democratic nominee that ever voted on both sides was Byron White. Obama could get a moderate through, but he's not going to nominate a moderate.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                              I feel sick.

Whether conservatives knew it or not, Nino was their best friend in Washington, and arguably the most important figure on the court during the past three decades. He's irreplaceable.

You are so magnanimous! But if you can look past your generous act of condescension perhaps you might consider the chance that some of us DID read and watch the entire statement. And I hope that doesn't disappoint you.

Compare Obama's attitude and content to the simple statement of Bill Clinton. Then watch Clinton when he says it. Clinton wants the same thing as Obama but Obama can't help but stoop to the same political level as the dope from Kentucky. Calls to control the next appointment are better left for tomorrow. Or the next day. But while Scalia is yet unburied Clinton knows you let the small-minded politicians start screaming about the next appointment. A real leader who inspires doesn't do that. Obama misses that point. It isnt a narrative. It's about being an actual leader who doesn't seek to divide and conquer. It's about mourning for a loss. Ginsburg mourns. Clinton hits the right note. But Obama can't. It reveals much.

But I'm glad you're on top of the full truth.
                                PLesa excuse the tpyos.
