The only person to pass this portion of the reading comprehension exam for this thread. Of course I stop at Costco. I agreed to that when I got a membership.

No, Dude, I am serious! The last thing I want to hear is that you and Wuap got your legs broken by some "Rambo" suffering from PTSD. Just show them the damn receipt, man.

I show them the receipt. But I had no idea that in signing that membership agreement I forever forfeited my right to bitch about it on the internet.

Come on, how hard is it to let someone slash a magic marker line on your receipt? Those people marking your receipts at Costco and greeting you at Walmart are people with thankless job, but they have jobs. Why make their jobs harder?

I stop at Costco, because I said I would when I signed up. It usually is no hassle and once they even reminded me to get a bag of ice. I rarely shop at Wal-Mart anymore because of this. But, sometimes, I have to go in there (small towns don't have tons of options) like last week to buy some saddle soap for my baseball gloves. When I go to leave, someone says, "Sir, may I see your receipt?" I respond, "No, thank you." And keep walking. I don't go back. It is a thankless job, but like most anything, if you submit, it becomes perfunctory. I'm not looking for confrontation, and I don't steal. I'm not stopping and I'm not showing my receipt to leave a place of business that's open to the public, especially when I've got a bag in my hand and I just walked directly from the check-out to the door (straight line).

Amazon Prime means I don't have to go to Wal-Mart much at all. I also quit shopping at Sam's Club because of the abysmal customer service. But, there, I did let them see my receipt. It's not hard to do it, but, no, I will not stop, unless I'm with my wife. She always stops and gets mad when I don't. I rarely go to Wal-Mart with her either.

I have no problem showing them the receipt... It most likely helps with the shoplifting problem which saves me money and I like saving money.

I also like buying stuff off amazon prime and can't wait for those drones to put lots of people out of work.

Screw those hard working people. I want my sh*t now!

Regarding receipt showing, Fry's Electronics is the worst. The will actually pull stuff out of your bag and double check the items. Why do I go back? Fry's has more cool things than I'll never need. The place is amazing.

Frys is okay for browsing, but I'll never buy anything there. I have yet to find something there I couldn't get for a better price at Amazon or Newegg, and both will get me the product within about 2 days. For that matter, on lots of things, Amazon will deliver on Sunday.

As far as stopping at the door in either Costco, Sams Club, or Walmart, I stop because the folks at Sams Club draw pictures on the receipt for the kids. I say "no thanks" at Walmart, and I don't go in for the hoity-toitiness of Costco.

When I used to work at Media Play, employees were not allowed to leave the building without first getting a pat down from a manager. It was in the job application.
