I have a friend who teaches in South Korea, and they had two students in some regional gaming tournament. They stopped school and live streamed it to every classroom when the students were playing.
From what I understand, they start teaching computer programming to students in elementary school. Get them thinking in terms of algorithms from a very young age. That is a brilliant idea for a tech economy.

We all do that as well in Texas (at least in the ISD I'm in). My second grader is now programming robots. I think next year I will get him started on writing python plugins for his Mindcraft server.
Seriously, python is a great programming language for youngsters...

Programming is required. They do some kind of "scratch" like stuff online. The robots we do on our own (Legos Mindstorms).

Aren't there like, 200 countries in the world? If we take the total number of countries in the world into consideration, 14th is pretty damn good!
