If it is between females and males over fifty, you will likely lose out. Count on it. That's just practical advice, unless you are the owner of said establishment. The Golden Rule is the best rule, "he or she who has the gold makes the rules.""Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Is that a gay slur? Figures. I did cost you some money that day, for sure. My driving was atrocious. I'm giving myself a pass, however, as that was my first round with my new clubs. I hadn't even been to the range with them.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI can't tell if you are being serious or not. There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Is "deep thinker" going to be BYU71's new thing he drives into the ground? We can add it to the list of BYU scheduling, whether his kids use his football tickets, going on missions, the Defenders of the Faith on CB, commandment vs counsel, and the words "progressive" and "enlightened." he seems to be on a Europe kick lately, too.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Utah's case is doomed, because that ("traditional values") seems to be the foundation of their case. The flaw in that logic is further dissected here:

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Why do posters tend to treat each other like shit all the time? Is it just a function of becoming grouchy in our old ages?Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIs "deep thinker" going to be BYU71's new thing he drives into the ground? There seems to be a hierarchy of personalities, with some who have achieved doctoral status looking down upon those who don't think or articulate themselves in a particular manner. This place has become much nastier than I remember earlier message board days. Much of the humor has evaporated."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

I agree. If there is one thing to remember about the old CougarGuard it is that everyone was kind and respectful of one another.Originally posted by Topper View PostWhy do posters tend to treat each other like shit all the time? Is it just a function of becoming grouchy in our old ages?

I think this is a pretty cool site. Like a lot of things it was started by the cool kids and they have their own set of standards that determine if you are cool. If you aren't at their intellectually cool level, they still are pretty nice to you unless of course you get into an area where they think they need to let you know your ability to think and reason isn't up to their standards.Originally posted by Topper View PostWhy do posters tend to treat each other like shit all the time? It is quite the opposite of the cool folks on CB who need to let you know at times you don't have the spiritual contacts they do. I think all in all it is pretty fun. Of course maybe I am not a "deep thinker" and therefor miss out on the nasty jabs that are thrown my way.

Interesting. This message board definitely has its share of mean people, however, at least for me, the vitriol is often entertaining and through it I find humor.Originally posted by Topper View PostWhy do posters tend to treat each other like shit all the time? You're always good for a zinger. Think back to Cougartalk.Originally posted by YOhio View PostI agree. If there is one thing to remember about the old CougarGuard it is that everyone was kind and respectful of one another.
But the reason you created this place, was because you thought MW was going bezerk at people. Now, instead of one guy , we've got a dominion of people attacking people."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

There seems to be a lot of malice and viciousness, with intent to malign. I read it for laughs not for malice. In fact, I know a number of the protagonists, who are nothing like their online personas. Anonymity promotes that.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostInteresting. Topper, you have the wrong perspective if I may be so bold. In a normal setting you wouldn't feel comfortable sending a zinger someones way. However, you shouldn't feel bad at all having to opportunity to zing back. You don't have to be nasty and question their ability to think deeply, but you can zing them and not feel quilty.Originally posted by Topper View PostYou're always good for a zinger.
