I thought hospitals already had to publish their prices. I know my local hospital has a price list on their webpage. I swear this isn't something new.

I don't recall if my previous hospital actually published prices, but they were available. Our local news did articles comparing their prices with other surgery centers. They do: https://www.cms.gov/priorities/key-i...e-transparencyOriginally posted by dabrockster View PostNot all hospitals publish their pricing nor do they do it in a transparent way. It is buried in some unreadable data or hidden entirely on their website. Nor could anyone truly read it unless they have an understand of what they are looking at.
if they aren't they can be reported and fined.
It is supposed to be easier to read based on incremental changes from that 2021 change. https://www.cms.gov/files/document/c...10-21-2024.pdf

I went to the website and could not find the published pricing you say is there. Also, I see there is a link to list the entities that are not in compliance. And you included what is coming under 2026 which is under the Admin. So..Originally posted by BigPiney View Post

I came across this graphic and was rather shocked to see that Utah had the lowest ranking of all states in reference to PCP.

I'm not shocked. In my experience it is very difficult to get an appointment with a PCP in Utah. Few are accepting new patients and most of them that do accept new patients are PAs.Originally posted by dabrockster View PostI came across this graphic and was rather shocked to see that Utah had the lowest ranking of all states in reference to PCP.
