In all seriousness Jeff I consider you a very intelligent person. What is wrong with picking up on a buzzword? Perhaps you have never used one you picked up but all of your buzz words you invented. You are so intelligent, I could buy that.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostBYU71 mocking MSNBC while rocking the Fox News talking points and buzzwords like "MSM". lol.
Second, have you ever heard me complain about Hannity or Beck or do you just see what you want to see? A Fox news stalwart and an ex Fox news guy.
Third, while Fox definitely leans to the right, are you equating the two in how bias their presentations are?
Lastly, I am honored to have you waste your time mocking me.

This is absurd. I don't care where he went to school. Entirely irrelevant. Cruz and Lee just happen to be the smartest 2 guys in congress with the most knowledge about and accurate interpretation of the constitution. I'll take 2 of them over 10 John McCains. And certainly over an Orin Hatch and a Bob BennettOriginally posted by myboynoah View PostCruz is the male Sarah Palin. I see several failed reality shows in his future.

They may be intelligent, but I don't know if I would call them smart. There is a big difference between being intelligent and being smart. I would suggest you read some of JL's posts as examples.Originally posted by Jacob View PostThis is absurd. I don't care where he went to school. Entirely irrelevant. 71 must be compensating for his latent sexual attraction to rachel maddow. that's the only way to explain the hilarious paranoia and obsession with who said something rather than what it is they said. don't worry, i'm not judging you; i've got a thing for elisabeth hasselbeck

I think it is important to know who is saying something as well as what they say. Do you think only what they say is relevant and there needs to be no consideration of the source?
Oh and Rachel, she is pretty good looking for someone on MSNBC, why wouldn't I be attracted to her?

Was Lee on law review at BYU? I don't think so. Ergo, 3D is smarter than Lee.Originally posted by Jacob View PostThis is absurd. I don't care where he went to school. Entirely irrelevant. I have a hard time thinking you are showing your great smarts here. Call it "in hingsight" if it sounds better, but their strategy stunk. I hear the mantra that they have now brought the issue of Obamacare to the forefront. Bull, it would have gotten there all on it's own and the dems would be even in the MSM disdain over it now.Originally posted by Jacob View PostThey are both. And brilliant. Smart means you check your odds before going off to do battle. President, deceptive democrat. Senate, ran by big spending, scupleless, dems with a lot of "get along" old boy republicans. A President butt kissing press and a republican house divided. Bad, bad odds for what they did.
I hope some republican runs against Lee so I can express how dumb I think he was.

Cruz has no business experience and little real world experience outside of clerking and politicking. He's the Obama of the right. An idealogue with little knowledge about how the economy works or how businesses are ran.Originally posted by Jacob View PostThis is absurd. I don't care where he went to school. Entirely irrelevant. I don't care if he's incredibly book smart at law. Being book smart at law doesn't help when people are trying to solve real world problems.
And yes, I'm still sulking over Mitt's loss. Dude would have been dynamic and pragmatic as president."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I'm not going to argue over your definition of smart. They are obviously so, but you don't like their strategy, fine. It seems to me that their strategy was no worse than anyone else's, except maybe Obama's which was, no negotiation.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI have a hard time thinking you are showing your great smarts here. I disagree. He's not Obama's equivalent. Real world experience is probably over-rated. Cruz and Lee don't want to run a business or the economy. That's not their job and not the presidents job. They want to let businesses run themselves. Obama goes the opposite direction. No experience in business will make you a better governor. Success in big business would probably make governors more likely to think they can fix the economy's or business's problems. Not so. Get out of the way. It's ideology that's important.Originally posted by Moliere View PostCruz has no business experience and little real world experience outside of clerking and politicking. He's the Obama of the right.
