"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

"I honestly believe saying someone is a smart lawyer is damning with faint praise. The smartest people become engineers and scientists." -SU. "Yet I still see wisdom in that which Uncle Ted posts." -creek. GIVE 'EM HELL, BRIGHAM!
I really enjoyed the election night skit with Chapelle and Chris Rock.

What are you talking about? This SNL was the funniest in years.
I read this thread and told my wife we needed to tune in to see what was so awful. I changed the channel right at the beginning of the Chapelle monologue. Then we watched the first skit with Chris Rock. We looked at each other and wondered what folks were talking about. Those two parts were great.

We were just complaining about the opening. It was stupid and self-serving. Chapelle's monologue and everything else was great.
I wasn't able to find just the video on youtube of the mom kicking out the 8 year old kid because he voted for Trump in his elementary school classroom, but it's embedded within this video. I believe the video was posted on facebook and went viral.
Some do-gooders found out who the woman was and reported her to the authorities and supposedly they're taking it seriously.
To be fair, the kid is legitimately distraught, but the mother probably let him back a few minutes later and there's no way child protective services should be looking into this womens' affairs.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
