She'll nominate pro-regulation, liberal justices who will further erode congressional power and constitutionally protected rights, while empowering federal agencies, making the presidency more like a dictatorship. Socially, she'll be little better than Trump because her incentive will be to divide the country and blame white privilege (irony alert) rather than work to solve important domestic and social issues. I'll stop there, but I think you need to lay down the crack pipe if you believe she will be a good president. If you want to engage in some fear-mongering about Hillary, you might want to pick a different benchmark. That second paragraph involves some creative spin and cherry-picking.Originally posted by cowboy View PostThis is the first time the economy hasn't returned to trend line growth after a recession in over a hundred years. Obama didn't bother to pass a budget for years, but he took a budget with a $700 billion one-time TARP expenditure in it and made it the new baseline. He is constantly proposing new taxes that would get passed were it not for a GOP Congress, and if you don't think the ACA was an enormous tax hike, you are wrong - just ask Chief Justice Roberts. Despite Iraq begging him to leave a presence, he completely pulled out with our military, enabling ISIS to invade and acquire our modern weaponry - but don't worry, ISIS is just the JV. Finally, every time there is a shooting, Obama makes mention of new gun laws that would erode gun rights. Further, he has proposed legislation that would destroy the energy sector, and since we are the the world's leading energy producer that's kind of a big deal, and he is consistent with a divisive "us against them" message on all social issues. Obama has been every bit the disaster we thought he'd be. I agree with you though, Hillary won't change the script."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Cowboy is killing it in this thread.
Obama has been mediocre. Clinton has always been an ineffective leader, which means she'll get very little done, so status quo until she's voted out in 4 years. She'll be mediocre.

Time to look at the positive, Hillary's going to want to get some payback against Putin. No more shit-eating grins with a stupid reset button.Originally posted by BlueK View PostPutin is going to be seriously pissed when Trump gets blown out in this election. He may even fire some of his top hackers.Part of it is based on academic grounds. My biggest gripe with Obama has been his foreign policy, esp. with Russia. If nothing else, I think Hillary is capable of being more assertive and aggressive with those fuckheads in the Kremlin.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostTime to look at the positive, Hillary's going to want to get some payback against Putin. Why? She certainly couldn't do it before. What has changed?Originally posted by frank ryan View PostMy biggest gripe with Obama has been his foreign policy, esp. with Russia. If nothing else, I think Hillary is capable of being more assertive and aggressive with those fuckheads in the Kremlin.
I personally see her being a very ineffective leader in the similar vein as her time as Sec of State. She won't screw it up too badly (well, ISIS was a pretty bad screw up but that's only agitator bit on her) but she won't be considered a great president.

Trump has been pushing the hastag #DraintheSwamp since at least last night (maybe for a while, but I just noticed it last night). What is that supposed to mean?
