(Trigger warning for SU: Pro-LDS/Utah comments in national article)
Donald Trump’s very bad Mormon problem, explained
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...lem-explained/
Most of the very first Republican lawmakers to disown Donald Trump and call for him to drop out of the presidential race over the weekend came from one relatively small state: Utah.
That was no surprise. This reliably Republican state hates Donald Trump. That might seem harsh, but there's really no other way to describe it.If you dig further into the numbers, you'll find that the reason Trump is so disliked and in a close race is almost completely attributable to Mormons, who comprise about 60 percent of the state's population.
Among non-Mormons, Trump runs about as well as the other Republicans on the ballot this year.Swish!Fully 69 percent of Utah Mormons dislike Trump."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Hand out 5,000 flyers for Evan at the BYU Football game

We'll be starting at 6, but we'll need the most help between 7:15 and 8:45PM
The Campaign has already provided us with 5,000 flyers, but email mworley@byulaw.net if you'd like to help us print more.

I think it's funny with these Trump sexual assault reports the way the anti-Trump people say "Hey these assault descriptions sound exactly like what Trump said in the Access Hollywood video. That proves they are true."
The pro-Trump people say "Hey these assault descriptions sound exactly like what Trump said in the Access Hollywood video. That proves they are made up."
Gotta say even though Trump is a horrible horrible person and his followers truly are deplorable unless there is some contemporary documentation of this stuff you can't take seriously some elderly lady saying for the first time in 2016 "Trump groped me in the 80s on a plane and now I've decided to finally go public!" Just not fair even though Trump probably did it.Last edited by CardiacCoug; 10-14-2016, 06:07 AM.

Why? There could have been a number of reasons someone wouldn't have brought it up then and is willing to do so now. Alone, the person may have thought, nobody will believe me. It truly is a he said she said and at that point in time the cards were stacked considerably in his favor, whereas now, these individuals can come forward and their stories have a lot more credibility.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostI think it's funny with these Trump sexual assault reports the way the anti-Trump people say "Hey these assault descriptions sound exactly like what Trump said in the Access Hollywood video. Additionally, with Trump seeking the highest office in the land, nay, the world, these people may feel desperate at this time to let others know how despicable he is and the trauma he is capable of causing. It may be just to much for these individuals to keep their frustrations pent up any longer.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

http://www.bostonglobe.com/opinion/c...8aK/story.htmlAt one point, Trump brought up a young child dressed like him and then asked the little boy if he’d rather go with his “Daddy or Trump.” The little boy said “Trump,” an answer that, considering the cult of personality around the candidate, was cringe-inducing.

Trump is creeping back in some Ohio and New Hampshire polls. This leaves open the possibility of the Evan McMullin black swan eventPart of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Ohio and NH are tossups on this map and even without them Clinton would only need 14 more EVs to win. It's not very likely Trump would run the table with all the gray states. It's hard to see Trump taking any of the states currently shaded blue at this point. Something fundamental would have to change for Trump to even have a shot at winning, and time is running out. The national polls seem to be trending in the wrong direction, and even what should be safe red states (UT, TX) are trending toward becoming tossups.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostTrump is creeping back in some Ohio and New Hampshire polls.
