Most of the very first Republican lawmakers to disown Donald Trump and call for him to drop out of the presidential race over the weekend came from one relatively small state: Utah.
That was no surprise. This reliably Republican state hates Donald Trump. That might seem harsh, but there's really no other way to describe it.If you dig further into the numbers, you'll find that the reason Trump is so disliked and in a close race is almost completely attributable to Mormons, who comprise about 60 percent of the state's population.

Why? There could have been a number of reasons someone wouldn't have brought it up then and is willing to do so now. Alone, the person may have thought, nobody will believe me. It truly is a he said she said and at that point in time the cards were stacked considerably in his favor, whereas now, these individuals can come forward and their stories have a lot more credibility.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View Post

Ohio and NH are tossups on this map and even without them Clinton would only need 14 more EVs to win. It's not very likely Trump would run the table with all the gray states. It's hard to see Trump taking any of the states currently shaded blue at this point. Something fundamental would have to change for Trump to even have a shot at winning, and time is running out. The national polls seem to be trending in the wrong direction, and even what should be safe red states (UT, TX) are trending toward becoming tossups.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View Post
