I'm going to be shocked when the French revolution wing of the party is unable to get the anti-trump forces to coalesce.

I'm calling impugnant on your shallowness. For shame.Originally posted by creekster View PostI know this will confirm just how shallow I am, but is it just me or does Hillary have tiny hands on short arms? Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. It'd be nice if they'd change the rule or, less likely unfortunately, Kasich got to 8. One of the more interesting Republican conventions resulted in the nomination of James Garfield (of Ohio!) after around 35 ballots. There was no such rule then, of course, and Garfield wasn't even a candidate before the convention began. He was one of finest persons ever nominated and would have been, I think, a great president were it not for his incompetent physicians.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View Posthttp://theweek.com/articles/613016/d...blem-not-think
Another article that goes into the intricacies of the delegate selection process and how a lot of delegates will be sent to the convention that only need to vote for Trump on the first ballot, but will go for someone else on a second vote. Trump has not been building bridges with the state GOP officials, while Cruz has.
As Maximus said, there's that rule that the only candidates that can be voted on are those that won a majority of delegates in 8 states or territories. Trump has already qualified and Cruz is at four. Cruz will undoubtedly get there with Utah, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Montana, etc. It's unlikely that there will be enough turncoat delegates to change that rule.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-g...adviser-220853Trump: I consult myself on foreign policy
Donald Trump finally shared the name of someone he consults on foreign policy: himself.
Asked on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” who he talks with consistently about foreign policy, Trump responded, “I’m speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I’ve said a lot of things."
"I know what I’m doing and I listen to a lot of people, I talk to a lot of people and at the appropriate time I’ll tell you who the people are," Trump said. “But my primary consultant is myself and I have a good instinct for this stuff."

All Uncle Ted cares about are alleys.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostUncle Ted, are you against public roads, courts, police and firefighters?
...yeah...didn't think so.
There's a pretty wide gulf between the corrupt hellholes that are Detroit, Baltimore, Philly, etc. and not having public roads and courts of law, and I don't think being a libertarian means you don't believe there should be public roads. It's a belief in limited government, not non-existent government.*Banned*

How about a Sanders/Trump Populist ticket.Originally posted by dabrockster View PostSo what are the odds of Bernie Sanders to run as an Independent once he loses? Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/0...al-risk-220887The Economist rates Trump presidency among its top 10 global risks
A Donald Trump presidency poses a top-10 risk event that could disrupt the world economy, lead to political chaos in the U.S. and heighten security risks for the United States, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit.
Electing Trump could also start a trade war, hurt trade with Mexico and be a godsend to terrorist recruiters in the Middle East, according to the latest EIU forecasts.
