Are the Trump supporters also the people who are the most enthusiastic about supporting the talk radio hosts (Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingram, Levin, Beck etc.)? Is it the same tantrum?

Could be, but I don't believe so. I haven't ever listened to Ingram, so I don't know about her, but I enjoy listening to Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin and Beck (for the same reason I love watching msnbc). All of them seem to be solidly on the Cruz bandwagon and are doing everything they can to destroy Trump and more recently have focused their attacks on Rubio.

Correct. Kasich has the best chance of winning Ohio, which is winner take all. He tied Trump in Vermont and took half the delegates there which Cruz and Rubio could not have done. He can be useful in some of the other midwest states where delegates are handed out proportionally, although Rubio could do ok in those as well. Cruz has already had his most productive states. He should be the one to drop out first, but he won't.

At this point it looks like a longshot, but on the other hand, Rubio was also way behind in Virginia and closed the gap to just a few points in less than two weeks.

Here is the "super" PAC which has as its only purpose to run anti-Trump ads and do whatever else it can to defeat Trump. I heard on TV this morning that they're going to hit Florida and a few other states hard starting this week.

Maybe some of you rich folks can find a few dollars to send its way.

Cruz might be able to still pick up some delegates in the bible belt states still that Rubio may not be able to. I would bet on all three of them staying in. Who ever has the most delegates will be the establishment's pick against Trump, most likely either Cruz or Rubio, and Kasich will be picked as the running mate. They will announce this to the delegates at the convention and the third candidate that won't be running will endorse the other two in a big speech.


Edit: Look at Arkansas, for example. Trump was able to win-over a lot of the toothless hillbillies (32.8% 16 delegates). Cruz got a pretty good share (30.5% 14 delegates). Rubio got 9.

It seems odd to me that I don't think I have seen one person on this board supporting Trump. As a matter of fact I don't thinnk he is in the top 2 or 3. Outside of this board I would guess in casual conversations I have talked to around 100 people about the election. One person is a Trump supporter. Yet in state after state he wins and draws huge crowds.

I am shocked at how many people here have him in the middle of the pack. He is an outlier far beyond any other candidate in our lifetimes.

Besides, the Quinnipiac poll released last week shows Kasich behind by 5 points to Trump in Ohio. Rubio is behind big in Florida, but Kasich's 5-10 points there could give the whole state to Trump. Florida is closed and Ohio is open.

I am shocked at how many people here have him in the middle of the pack. He is an outlier far beyond any other candidate in our lifetimes.

Bernie Sanders in 1980 was an elector for the "Socialist Workers Party" which was a Trotskyist party. Sanders wasn't just a fan of socialism, but also communism.

Hillary Clinton flunked the bar, is totally incompetent and has enriched herself by doling out influence to rent-seeking entities. There are zero redeeming qualities there.

There's certainly an argument to be made for why Trump is better than Sanders and Hillary.

I'm certainly not going to advocate that Kasich drop out because, if elected, he has the best chance at producing respectable governance among the remaining candidates.

If the deal has already been made you may not see Kasich and Cruz campaigning much in Florida other than doing a full body slam on Trump. The same with Cruz and Rubio campaigning in Ohio. They need to have Rubio and Kasich win their "winner take all" states.

Sanders is a moot point. He won't be nominated. And Hillary isn't going to instantly raise the price of your Samsung TV and thousands of other products by 35% with unbelievably idiotic new tariffs. Hillary will be blocked at every turn by the Congress assuming the makeup of it doesn't turn over to the dems. On the other hand, Trump would have a pretty good chance of instantly wrecking the economy with terrible anti-trade legislation he would possibly be able to pass with mostly democrat votes.

This is just me, but Sanders represents a 'cute' socialist that would move the needle left just a little. There would be no way in the current US political climate that he would be able to persuade congress to get all he wanted.

But most importantly, he is less of a joke than Trump.

I don't agree with much of anything Sanders sees as solutions to the problems he addresses. But he is at least a nice guy from all I can tell. Trump on the other hand is a first rate ASShole who would sell your mom to the devil if it made him ten cents profit.
