    • My Romney fantasy: He's going to announce tomorrow his support for the Kasich/Rubio ticket. Kasich, being older and more experienced, will have the first slot; Rubio will be able to run for President anytime in the next 25 years, and with far more gravitas than he can currently muster. Such a ticket would crush Hillary's chances. Romney will also announce that NBC is re-starting The Apprentice and has quintupled Trump's salary, as his ratings will now be even better. Everybody wins what they seek most.

      • Uncle Ted's Presidential Candidate Ranking:

        1. Any candidate that the Libertarian Party has, including that bat-sh*t crazy McAfee dude. (Best)

        2. Kasich (Has a snowball's chance in hell, but seems like a nice guy.)

        3. (Tie) Ted Cruz (Good first name and he is from Texas. Other than that he has nothing going for him.)

        3. (Tie) Rubio (Too young and inexperienced. Give him another 4-8 years and you might have something.)

        4. Sanders (The guy has zero chance of getting any of the sh*t he is proposing through congress so seems safe.)

        5. Hillary (Corrupt as hell. Must be married to Bill only for political reasons... otherwise she has to be the dumbest woman to walk the Earth.)

        1000. Drumpf. (The worst.)
"If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.
"I honestly believe saying someone is a smart lawyer is damning with faint praise. The smartest people become engineers and scientists." -SU.
"Yet I still see wisdom in that which Uncle Ted posts." -creek.

I shall vote for this scenario.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

I would place Hillary on par with the Dumpster. I would put Cruz ahead of Sanders but behind Rubio.

            • My ranking, least bad to worst bad:

              1. Kasich
              2. Rubio
              3. Clinton
              4. Sanders
              5. Cruz
              6. Trump
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Moreover, authoritarianism is more consistent with the statism of the Democratic Party, and Trumpster's authoritarian appeal is to those styling themselves as disenfranchised and thereby invoking traditional Democratic Party ideals to grab power.

I would waste my Libertarian vote on a Kasich/(Rubio or Ted) ticket.

One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

                      • Mitt is going to go scorched earth on Trump, which will only result in Trumps supporters digging in deeper and his polling might even go up.

It would be funny if Mitt threw his support fully behind Trump, just to make Trunps anti establishment fans mad.

                        • Don't you all have to ask yourselves why you belong to a party that has 2/3 of its voters primary voters voting for candidates that are insane/dangerous? So, is conservative orthodoxy is now a fringe part of the party?

The bottom line is the angst and machinations of the establishment GOP will make Hillary a done deal. Nobody manages national campaigns worse than the GOP.

Even though I dislike both Trump and Cruz, what will be the result if you antagonize the constituencies of more than fifty percent of participating votes of the GOP? That disunity only works to the advantage of the equally despicable Democrats. I was so looking forward to some sanity when we didn't have to watch the machinations of the Democratic Party. This will be ugly the next four to eight years.

Or, you can vote in a party where 100% of the candidates are insane, dangerous and corrupt. Gee what a selection. Vote with the Democrats and vote for a megliomaniacal, paranoid narcissist, or with an unsuccessful, loony socialist with no credentials or abilities. For a country which has produced so much wonderful technology and successes, we certainly produce some of the least appealing political candidates.

I'm not a republican. I tend to vote republican at the federal level and democrat locally.
