What a couple of dumb-dumbs. Of course, Hillary can be forgiven for making such stoopid remarks, she doesn't know better. Carly, on the other hand, ran a fortune 500 tech company (into the ground). She should know better."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

The kid is a Pentecostal youth pastor and definitely likes to preach. He's been very outspoken about Trumps stance on Muslims. I think he took the opportunity to continue to voice his opinions about the first amendment during the Trump rally. (He says Trump wasn't addressing the crowd at the time he was escorted out.) Here's a recording he did on Periscope last night from outside. A lot of talking, not much information.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostDo tell more... What did he do to get kicked out?
I doubt he expected this to play out any differently than it did.

Given GOP ineptitude, I am resigned to the fact HC will curse us with her presence for at least four years. Hopefully, the GOP can retain the Senate and stop too much of the damage she will do. The bad thing will be Supreme Court appointments. She will likely appoint a jurist who will oppose many liberties and we could see elimination of the Second Amendment Right to bear arms. We will also see continued dramatic increases in taxation and some adventurous but failed military incursions. You'll also see some efforts to eliminate the "inequalities" in pay in genders and races, by seeking to achieve equal outcomes instead of equal opportunities. It will be an ugly four years, so the GOP will need to adopt a bunker mentality, or a WWI philosophy of trench warfare for the next four years, not a pussy approach as adopted during these last four years.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Post"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

"considering" closing places of worship isn't much better if you care about the first amendment. I don't think Trump is a big fan of doing or saying anything with the Constitution in mind. That to me is scary. He speaks outrageously. So how can I believe he wouldn't act that way in that position of power?Originally posted by Eddie View PostI was speaking about the closing of mosques. The quotes I've read over and over is that he says it should be considered. The articles I've read lead with "Trump to close Mosques".
So maybe there are more quotes out there I haven't seen in which he isn't saying it should be considered or looked at and actually said he would do it. But the articles I've read are missing that part.

This thread is a heady mix of hysteria and hyperbole, but this post really tops them all. Go to the link and click on the Clinton/Bush matchup to see that Bush is polling even better against Clinton than Trump is. In fact, every GOP candidate they compare to Clinton polls close to the same if you remove all the other candidates.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostLast edited by BlueK; 12-15-2015, 11:56 AM.

Right. And Rubio is actually beating Hillary head to head. These polls are of course pretty meaningless at this point but I was countering the assertion that it's only Republicans that would support Trump. This probably says more about what a flawed candidate Hillary is than anything about Trump.Originally posted by BlueK View PostGo to the link and click on the Clinton/Bush matchup to see that Bush is polling even better against Clinton than Trump is.
That's one of the frustrating things about this whole circus. If the Republicans put up someone competent and not crazy they'd win.

Good article:
http://theweek.com/articles/594122/u...mp-republicans
Philosophically, I like the core idea of a 'tea party'. The electorate should have a lot of power in deciding who to lead them, and to be able to quickly depose those who shouldn't. But this noble ideal is currently mixed with a lot of ignorance and fear, and it holds sway with many republican voters. Trump is a manifestation of that ignorance and fear.Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and many others have created an enormous industry and made vast sums of money for themselves by telling millions of listeners, day after day, year after year, that their ill-informed, illiberal, anti-government, anti-Washington, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim views are irrefutably, indisputably, incontrovertibly correct. Such views are so obviously right, in fact, that the only plausible explanation for their failure to prevail politically (until, perhaps, now) is the constant, undeserved ridicule heaped upon them by a class of cultured despisers in Washington, the media, and even at the commanding heights of their own party's establishment.
This is what populism has come to mean in today's Republican Party. It's less a consistent policy position on economics, taxes, foreign policy, national security, or even immigration as it is a form of therapy for a grievance group that's been manipulated by profit-seeking political entertainers into a perpetual state of aggrieved indignation. Trump's campaign has masterfully tapped into this feeling of wounded pride, festering disrespect, and craving for validation and vindication...
Politics isn't supposed to be about making resentful people feel good about themselves. It's supposed to be about enacting an agenda and proposing policies that make sense and have a good chance of benefiting the country as a whole. There are, of course, legitimate disputes among knowledgeable, informed citizens about which agenda and policies are best. Those differences are one important source of the partisanship that arises everywhere a people tries to govern itself with free institutions.
The Trump phenomenon is different. Trump's supporters are not especially informed, and they're not especially knowledgeable... It's one thing to recognize that, having contributed for more than two decades to the creation of this faction of angry, credulous, self-important voters, the GOP has no alternative now but to see just how powerful it really is and live with the consequences. It's quite another thing, knowing all we now do about this faction and its enthusiasm for demagogic illiberalism, to continue indulging its prejudices."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
