Do you have any recollection of how Obama addressed foreign policy questions when he went off teleprompter? Um...I tend to think that history has shown that Romney owned him in foreign policy - even though the moderator laughed and declared Obama the winner.

I thought he would fade, but he has not and I don't really see what would cause him to. He has made blunder after blunder after blunder and seems to be able to overcome them and actually gain momentum from them.

As scary as it is, I am deeply concerned that he might actually win. Now, not all would be horrible if he did, because it would be awesome to see him go after Hillary and blast her over and over and over, but that is about all the positive that could come from this.

All in all it was a good time people watching last night.
I was flipping radio stations this morning and hit on Laura Ingram for a minute. Every once in a while she has something interesting to say. Today she was comparing Trump to that kid on the sports team that you coach that is just un-coachable. You can't teach him, you can't reach him, no amount of demonstration or explanation will help him understand what he's doing wrong and how to fix it.

    Made me chuckle a little.

Would Trump versus Hillary be the most uninspiring pair of candidates we've had in a while? I couldn't vote for either without plugging my nose. Curious what voter turnout would even look like.

Those are significant accomplishments? Are you serious?

No, they are not significant at all. Just because he was elected to those positions or chosen to head the law review does not mean that he is qualified to be POTUS. That would be like me saying that I was qualified to play baseball at the pro level because I played in college. But using your logic, I was qualified to play pro ball because I played in college. No, I wasn't. I didn't do anything at the college level to show that I was qualified to play pro ball. Likewise, Obama didn't do anything to show that he was qualified to be POTUS.

Again, point to an accomplishment while US Senator, State Senator, head of the law review or as a community organizer that he was qualified to be the President of the US. One thing. Just one.

He might stitch them up, but they would still be divided. No, if he were to conjoin individuals, that would be a uniter.

I'm interested - what would you consider as an accomplishment that would qualify one to be POTUS?
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Success at the executive level , such as a governor of a rather populated state. By success, I mean someone who took a state that was in the red and turned it around. That would demonstrate that one is qualified to lead the US.

Thanks. Certainly you would agree, however, that there have been lots of competent presidents who did not have that exact qualification, correct? In other words, while that may be one qualification for president, someone who has only been a US senator might still possess the qualities to make him an effective president?

Agreed, but Obama is not included on that list. He did nothing of significance before he was elected as POTUS. That's my point. Can you name one thing he did that would give him any kind of experience to show he had what it takes to be POTUS? Gregg obviously cannot, otherwise he would have.

I don't care about Obama, so I'll bow out here. I just wanted to understand your point. Thanks for the explanation.

                        • For those interested in tonight's GOP debate, there's an undercard and then a main event. Christie and Huckabee are in the first debate with Santorum and Jindal.

so not just a governor but a governor of a rather populated state. That narrows the list of candidates both now and in the future.

also, I think many would consider a senator an executive position. In fact, how is it not an executive level position??

I hope you are joking. A senator is not an executive position in politics.
