I don't get Walker and don't care much for Jeb, but I really like Kasich. He seems more moderate and didn't back down from his expansion of Medicaid. He seems to be very pragmatic, almost like Romney except without the stunning good looks and ever present Holy Ghost.

I could also get behind Rubio.

    Huckabee can s a d!!

Christie sucks. I don't get him either. Plus he's fat and I don't want a fat president. And it's not just old person weight like Clinton, it's just lazy fatness.

Seriously? Are you really that thoughtless? And please don't double down.

        • I am all in for Trump 2016. In fact, if he is on the ballot, I am going to actually vote. He is the only one that was honest all night long. With the last two presidents, really the last 4, the white house is a joke. Why not go all in?

That's what I thought you were saying. I agree that Kasich is the most dangerous from a Democrat perspective.

            The NYT agrees with you:

            http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/06/op...an-debate.html

On Thursday night in Cleveland, the Fox News moderators did what only Fox News moderators could have done, because the representatives of any other network would have been accused of pro-Democratic partisanship.

They took each of the 10 Republicans onstage to task. They held each of them to account. They made each address the most prominent blemishes on his record, the most profound apprehensions that voters feel about him, the greatest vulnerability that he has.

It was riveting. It was admirable. It compels me to write a cluster of words I never imagined writing: hooray for Fox News.

He is not a serious candidate. He is the Howard Dean of this cycle. I think he hit his peak just before the debate last night and will self-destruct in a few weeks.

                And he hugged Obama!

The entire exchange with Paul just shows how stupid he is. We should submit to mass wire tapping just because of we might be killed by a terrorist? The odds of that is one in 20 million. We are more likely to be killed by lightning. Not only is he fat but he is also stoopid.

I really am that thoughtless (do you not read my posts!) but yes, I was making a joke. But it's true I don't like Christie. I don't get him. I'm not a fan of presidents that think spying on American people without a warrant is a good idea. He strikes me as a "my way or the highway" bully.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Yes, what you said. No amount of wiretapping/spying is going to save us from terrorist attacks. They'll happen regardless. We just have to accept that and be happy with the current odds of it never happening to us. There's no sense in spending more billions of dollars to totally eliminate the threat.

He does seem pragmatic though on other issues. He just scares me.

I didn't watch the whole thing but it was pathetically obvious how badly Fox doesn't want Trump. Question to The Donald "Despite your being a bankrupt loser who loves killing unborn babies, as you've stated multiple times in the past, we want to think you aren't entirely evil. Can you give us a reason to?" Then interrupt as soon as Don starts talking to make sure and reestablish his flaws.

To Bush "You are against a Republican platform like getting rid of common core, but we know Hilary is really awful. Can you lightly touch on the thing the wrestling fans behind us will 'BOO' about then attack Hilary?" Then after giving most of the answer Fox hosts wait for a pause in speech to reestablish that Hilary is awful.

Can you blame them though? He is so bad for republicans in this race. Maybe be its just me, but there was a tone and energy that I haven't seen at a debate and it wasn't a positive tone or energy.

Yes, it seems that Fox, especially Kelly, clearly doesn't want Trump... But for good reason:

Megyn Kelly: “You’ve called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals.'”

Donald Trump: [smiling] “Only Rosie O’Donnell.” [applause] “Thank you.”

Megyn Kelly: “No it wasn’t” [continued applause] “For the record, it was well beyond Rosie O’Donnell.

Donald Trump: “Yes, I’m sure it was.”

Megyn Kelly: “Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women’s looks. You once told a contestant on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president? And how will you answer the charge with Hillary Clinton, who is likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women?”
It could be worst, I guess. Trump could have stated he has "binders full of women".

                              • Yeah Walker was great, especially that part when he wouldn't say he would allow for a life exemption on abortion.

                                These GOPers are legit crazy:

                                Ripping up the Iran deal
Overturning all the 'illegal' EOs Obama has signed
Challenging the SC on same sex marriage
                                Building a wall
Making people take pledges to their party
Booing Jeb because he didn't say CC was devil inspired
Talking about the blood of Jesus

I sat there with a similar thought that I have in church, people don't really believe this stuff, do they?
