Delusional republicans are increasingly out of touch with younger voters, who are, for the most part, generally less xenophobic, homophobic, and tax sensitive than older folks. The things the GOP touts most are the things that younger voters care about the least. Or at least it seems that way. The GOP even from as recently as W's tenure is dead. It is over. A new viable GOP has to assimilate or continue to lose ground.

You may be right. If next year a Democrat not named Barrack Obama turns out a similar electorate and wins by a similar margin as 2008/2012, then that will be proof to me there has been a permanent realignment. The midterm elections have suggested this is not the case, but we will see.

I read a few weeks ago that Hillary failed the bar exam back when she took it for the first time. Barring severe illness or some difficult personal circumstance, I don't know how someone with a moderate degree of intelligence can fail the bar exam. I've taken two of them and I didn't exactly lock myself in my house for a month to study for it. I took one that was supposed to be easy and one that was supposed to be difficult. The easy one, I felt was harder than the difficult one, while the difficult one had a higher portion of idiots, apparently just like Hillary, who drove down the passage rate and gave it an undeserved reputation.

But look at the bright side, perhaps Hillary is more "like us" than we imagined. For another example, just like many Americans she was terrible at her last job.

He asked me to read and summarize a new article that had just been published on the subject, noting the intelligence and advocacy skills of the young author, Hillary Rodham. You need to put your trust in the judgment of a general authority.

Yeah, Hillary failed the DC bar but passed the Arkansas bar. Maybe the DC bar is just really hard... even for an Yale law grad.

Of course, Jerry Brown failed the bar the first time he took it but become the attorney general (not to mention, governor) of Cali.

CLEVELAND (The Borowitz Report)—As preparations get under way for the first Republican Presidential debate, on Thursday night, a new poll shows that Americans are deeply concerned that the rest of the world might see it.

According to the poll, there is widespread fear that, if the debate were to be viewed in foreign countries, the cost to the United States’ prestige around the world would be incalculable.

On a more personal level, many expressed concern that any international broadcast of the debate would greatly diminish their desire to ever travel abroad or talk to foreigners.

In another measure of Americans’ discomfort with Thursday’s televised event, two of the TV programs they identified as being the biggest embarrassments to America, “Duck Dynasty” and “Jersey Shore,” still lagged far behind the debate.

Those surveyed strongly agreed that the U.S. government should block the foreign transmission of the debate, or that Fox News should air an explanation of the contest beforehand, but they were at a loss as to what that explanation could possibly be.

And, in a result that seemed to sum up Americans’ anxiety, a broad majority agreed with the statement “God, this is so embarrassing.”
