Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Us average folks just can't keep up. Not long ago I was convinced by the dems and the MSM that the republicans were hacks for imputing the integrity of the head of the FBI. Even some republicans, never Trump Folks and some others were also vouching for his integrity.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View Post
Now the democrats, never Trump folks and the MSM are slamming the guy and calling into question his integrity.
The Trump folks thought he was a pawn of Hillary a few weeks ago and now are praising him.
I know Harry at least is of the mormon faith and thus I will tend to believe what he has to say.

Yes indeed. Let's implement a regressive tax system nationwide. Screw the poor!Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostJohnson doesn't have time to put up with these stupid boneheads.
We don't have an income tax in Texas... makes sense to me. Y'all should move to a state that doesn't discourage working hard and give it a try.

Why hasn't the conservative media discussed Trump's corruption or his pending lawsuit about raping a 13 y/o ?Originally posted by byu71 View PostUs average folks just can't keep up. Yeah nothing hurts big middle-class LDS families more than having property taxes instead of income taxes.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostYes indeed. Let's implement a regressive tax system nationwide. Screw the poor!

Was really awesome when I lived in Texas knowing that since I needed a house big enough for 6 people that despite my medical training near-poverty state I could still pay more state tax than a super rich single guy living in an apartment.

Nope, I am still very much in the #FeelTheJohnson camp especially given the "quality" of the candidates that both parties have fielded this year.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostSure, they are both shitty. I rag about Clinton more given everyone knows that Drumpf is a sh*thead. If, and only if, there only two candidates to choose from (e.g., someone put a gun to my head and said I had to pick a republican or dem) I would vote for Clinton. Drumpf is shittier, IMHO. Thank god I don't have to vote for Hillary.Last edited by Uncle Ted; 10-31-2016, 10:32 AM."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

It wouldn't hurt the poor because not only would the fair tax replace the income tax, it also removes the social security tax which is the one tax we have that hurts the poor the most by far. Also, there is the rebate part of the fair tax which means they get a check from the government every month to cover the tax they're paying for basic needs. And the tax also wouldn't apply when buying used goods.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostYes indeed. Let's implement a regressive tax system nationwide. Screw the poor!

I have no complaints as a middle-class LDS Texan living in a house big enough for 6 people. And have no plans to give up my Texas residency in retirement when I plan to live out-of-state for much of the year. There is a good chance you would feel the same way if you were practicing medicine in Texas during your career as opposed to the near-poverty state of medical residents while in training. The super rich single guy renting an apartment in Texas is stupid for not taking advantage of mortgage interest tax deductions and paying a landlord instead of building home equity.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostYeah nothing hurts big middle-class LDS families more than having property taxes instead of income taxes.
