  • I for one can't wait for all the memes Trump's candidacy will bring to the forefront:

I sure hope so. I have really liked him ever since he was the budget chairman in the 90's. I hope he doesn't get Romney'd by the evangelicals.

It sure seems stupid to me. Let's see, I can vote for a non right wing republican or sit home and let the liberal democrat win. I decide to sit home. Dumb asses is all that comes to mind.

I believe you just proved his point--that everyone "gas missed" it.

Also, the headline of the article is: "Romney moves to reassemble campaign team for ‘almost certain’ 2016 bid" (emphasis mine). Doesn't seem like the smartest move.

                  • Anyone feel sorry for the Greeks. I don't. I would like to get the background though on the idiots who kept lending them money.

I heard somewhere that 70% of the jobs in Greece were government jobs. Can anyone affirm or dispute that.

His negatives amongst republicans is 57%. I can't see how his entry is a positive for the GOP. I just hope it isn't a big negative.
Trump just improved his poll numbers in Iowa by basically saying that most Mexicans who cross the border are rapists and drug dealers.

And what better way to recapture the Latino vote the GOP lost in 2012, which proved to be the losing margin? :rockon2:

The Trump campaign has been fabulous for entertainment.

It's not too early to say it and we shouldn't be afraid to face facts: We're entering a new Golden Age of Donald Trump news. I know many of you are impatient with the attention we sometimes give Trump - despite reading the same news assiduously (we've got data, don't deny it!). Even I get sort of bored and impatient with it. But not now. Now we're in new territory. As we know, over recent years, Trump has ditched his old brand as a cartoonish plutocrat, comfortable in the multi-cultural world of New York media and celebrity culture, to rebrand himself as an clowncar racist and populist xenophobe. And now finally the chickens or whatever farm animals Trump cavorts with are coming home to roost. Whatever damage he's doing to his own businesses, he has become the doofus bull, enraged and ridiculous, let loose in the China shop of GOP electoral vulnerabilities.

Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio have both stated their disagreement with Trump's comments, while predictably, Ted Cruz couldn't wait to follow him straight into looney world by applauding them. And any minute now we should have an Ann Coulter column coming out arguing that Trump now really is a viable candidate and any attempts to paint him as a clown candidate are from the despicable liberal media, who among other things are also traitors to this country because they (along with those dirty Mexicans and Europeans) like soccer.

                            • The cool thing about Trump is that he is the only candidate that is honest. He doesn't care what people think and isn't having someone over analyze every word in each speech/release he makes. If he can stick around long enough he may force King Bush/Queen Clinton to not give the most thought out safe answers to anything asked.
