You've gone off the deep edge.

Btw, you seem to be experiencing the outrage of the newly informed. Politics is about power, plain and simple and nothing more. Until you realize that, you will be tossed to and fro, like a ship without a rudder or mast on the seas political opinion. I scratch my head when people really believe politicians mean what they say instead of just posturing for grabbing power. Everything politics is about money and power, in reverse order, though they do have correlation.

    • I'm writing in Mitt Romney with a clean conscience.

I could vote Gary Johnson but the fact remains that while I agree with the Libertarian party on many things, I don't agree with the party on foreign policy. Couple that with the fact that my Mitt Romney write-in vote will have the same ultimate impact as a vote for Gary Johnson, which is nil, leads me to choose to write in Mitt (spare me the blah blah about the need for 3rd party candidates to get votes so they can get federal funding).

        http://www.nationalreview.com/articl...ust-say-no-him

Two things: First, it is impossible for a mentally and emotionally normal adult to support Donald Trump’s bid for the presidency without calling into question his judgment or his honor. Second, it is easier to forgive defective judgment than deficient honor.
And that is what he is: morally, intellectually, and politically unfit for office. Is Hillary Rodham Clinton actually Satan in the flesh? Of course Hillary Rodham Clinton is actually Satan in the flesh; Donald Trump is still unfit for office. It isn’t Ted Cruz’s fault, or John Kasich’s, or Marco Rubio’s, or Jeb Bush’s, that the American public in free and fair elections chose two major-party candidates whose preening self-regard, dishonesty, moral cowardice, and incompetence is in each candidate’s case the best and only argument for the other candidate.

        Well done, America.

However, it would be so tough for me to vote for a person who has the support of people like Pelosi, Boxer, Hary Reid, Bernie and the liberl media.

My question for you is would you vote for Hillary and then a republican running for Congress so they can offset what she and her friends want to do?
But like George Will suggested, Trump can do more damage than Hillary because he will have a complicit congress. Hillary would be kept in check by a GOP congress.

Neither is a good choice. Trump could do damage, or he could be coaxed into doing the right things. There is no chance of Hillary doing anything right, and the GOP Congress is filled with cowards in the face of the media and Hillary's wrath. So it might be argued that Hillary could do more damage. As the National Review notes, Hillary is Satan in the flesh.

No one is going to coax Trump into behaving. Rational republicans are exhausted from trying to do just that. You are up in the night if you think the gop fears Hillary so much they will go along with her agenda. If anything, they will align with Trump because it would be there base that voted for him. Of course Hillary will do some positive things. She is a shitty, unlikable candidate but she doesn't possess supernatural powers that allow her to mind-control her opponents. This fear of the mainstream media is getting old and is too conspiratorial for even my tastes.

She is unfit psychologically and emotionally. She is completely vile without any redeeming feature. It is not a fear of the media, but a realization that the media will browbeat the GOP into submission. Look at Ryan: he has been Obama's cabana pool boy.

She will make a mistake on every single foreign relations issue. Every single tax issue will be wrong. She will nominate nothing but jokes for judicial appointments. She is incapable and unwilling to make a single correct decisions, unless absolutely compelled by a strong GOP Congress. There is no Gingrich out there directing the troops, but a weak-kneed, cajoneless leader now.

Thank goodness for improvement in technology and in health which largely operate outside the realm of government decisions. These are what will drive the quality of life, and the US will continue to have a quality life despite its awful, unmanageable government, not because of it.

Spare us your angst, Topper. Why don't you save us pages of your political insight and own up to it right now; you're going to vote for Trump.

Unlike you, I will vote for Johnson. That way, no matter who gets elected, I can say, "not my fault." I am but a voice crying out in the wilderness, but the deaf hear not, though they have ears. Any of you voting for Hillary or Trump should be ashamed.

Hillary's a bad candidate, no doubt, but I'm wondering, given the absurdly hyperbolic criticisms, if you fell asleep recently next to a Trumpian pod, or took a course at Trump University in which one learns that everything is the biggest, the best or the worst.

You really think Trump's foreign policy will be less shitty than Hillary's? He has already pissed off NATO allies and sucked up to Putin. His talk of a stupid wall w/Mexico, that isn't going to make us popular in Latin America. Talking about torturing people, even time he opens his mouth and speaks about foreign policy he is an embarrassment. He can't even pronounce country's names correctly. How was Paul Ryan Obama's bitch?

It is certainly honorable, especially for conservatives to vote 3rd party in this election but Trump is the worst presidential candidate of your lifetime. His tacit race-baiting alone earns him that designation.

The staccato to my writing must have diverted your attention. I didn't say she is the worst on every single issue but she is wrong on every single issue. There are issues where the buffoon Trump is her equal, and Sanders and Warren are worse than she on some issues, but all of them fall into the wrong category. I recognize by failing to appear magnanimous toward her in some small regard that it detracts from the credibility with those who have moments of indecision. I have followed her closely, however, since 1993, am friends with a number of attorneys who knew her well in Arkansas, and from observing her through these lenses, am convinced we are handing the keys to the Ferrari over to the drunken, crazy ex-spouse who wants to destroy your car and ruin your insurance in the process.

No, I'll admit there are others worse than she on some issues, but all of those fall into the bad category. In terms of bad, you can have a spectrum of 1-10, and she might be a 5 whereas Sanders would be a 9, but that doesn't convert the negative 5 into a positive number.

Let me be perfectly clear. I hate and loathe Trump. I believe he is Hillary's ugly, stupid twin sister. I have actually worked on the other side of him in a few, limited business deals and he is a pompous ass. (My part was minor, getting people paid).

Because Boehner did not fight Obama's budget, we now have Trump. Goddamn Boehner. Rot in hell, roast on spike.

But I diverge. Ryan gave in and did not fight one bit on the Budget. Damn you little Ryan.

Hillary and Obama have been wrong on all major foreign relations issues. Her history shows she is incapable of making a correct foreign relations decision. Her decision in Poland, likely led to the Ukrainian disaster. Her encouragement of Libya has led to a disaster of a country. Etc.

Trump sounds like a moron in foreign relations. But we don't know that he wouldn't select a competent Secretary of State. He has no track record of incompetence in this area. As a result, there is a faint hope springing eternal that he could be better than a known incompetent. It is a reverse corollary to devil you know versus the devil you don't know.

Race-baiting? Have you heard Michelle? Dems do a lot of race-baiting and Obama certainly invited and encouraged racial tensions when he could have been and should have been a uniter on this issue. So don't talk to me about Trump, when Obama is right there with him. Obama is simply more sophisticated and Trump is a buffoon, and mindless idiot. I erupted when I heard his criticism of the federal judge.

No, no he's not. There has never been a candidate who galvanized white supremacists like Trump. Obama doesn't cuddle avowed racists. He doesn't single groups for derision. Trump has had KKK groups canvasing for him, and white nationalist fundraising and robocalling for him. He didn't say a judge was unfit to preside over a case because of his national background.

You're very hyperbolic sir. We don't have Trump because Boehner was not obstructionist enough, we have Trump because the GOP has accommodated and encouraged Tea Party candidates. Trump is the next step in GOP devolution.
