• I don't know how someone could ignore ones own belief in what would be best for the country.

Hillary will pick a liberal judge for the bench. Who knows who Donald will pick, but it won't be worse than a Hillary choice.

Hillary will put more and more regulations and beaurocrats in the system. Who knows what Donald will do, but it won't be worse than what Hillary will do.

Hillary will make decisions making the undumented situation worse. Who knows what Donald will do, but it won't be worse than what Hillary will do.

I could go on. It might be closer than usual in Utah, but if Utahns vote their beliefs on how the government should run, Trump will take Utah. Yea, Utahns will be left with a nasty taste in their mouths.

Hillary is campaigning to carry out President Obama's agenda for the country. When Utahns come to that realization, you really think they will vote for her?

    • Write in Mitt, Utah!
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Your belief that what Donald would do would be worse than what Hillary would do seems to be informed by nothing more than hope and partisanship. He has no record of any sort and his public statements have been all over the map. There are myriad statements from Trump even related to your own profession where he would be much worse than Hillary (e.g. tariffs) and yet for some reason you insist that you know he couldn't be any worse than her.

I would not be surprised if Donald nominated Ivanka to the Supreme Court. He seems to have a pretty high opinion of her and that's might just be the only qualification Donald cares about.

You're right, I don't know. I just assumed everyone would know I was expressing my opinion and unlike some on the board have never pretended to "know" everything.

So it is just an opinion that Trump would govern closer to my belief in government than would Hillary.

To show you how wrong my opinions can be, I was actually very comfortable with President Obama getting elected the first time around. That shows my opinion can turn out to suck.

            • Earlier this morning, I flashed on a memory of a Church member who, six years ago or so, tried to get me join his downline selling videophones with a company called ACN. Videophones? With iPhones, Facetime and a variety of other forms of digital communication that were rolling out back then, this struck me as a really bad idea, not to mention my derisive view of all MLMs. The member presented what he thought would close the deal with me--a video of Donald Trump touting this amazing new system (you only need to watch the first 45 seconds to get the idea):

After re-watching this and laughing a second time, I Googled Trump and videophones and found that last year Trump, when interviewed by the WSJ about this venture, said, "I do not know the company. I know nothing about the company other than the people who run the company. I’m not familiar with what they do or how they go about doing that, and I make that clear in my speeches”--this, after accepting millions of dollars to deliver speeches and video presentations on the company's behalf. Yet another example of how this guy's riches are the fruits of being a self-promoting scumbag with no sense of personal responsibility.

              • Once that videophone idea takes off, no doubt he'll suddenly "know" a lot about it.

                I hate that guy.

And there is the great difficulty we may be presented with. A scumbag who makes money off of his name and really doesn't care if what he is selling helps or hurts people. A notch below the scumbags who run hedge funds and keep their money where it can't be taxed and get super deals on the money they are taxed on. I mean all of them except Romney who is a good guy so the hedge fund crap doesn't apply to him. His good guy status makes his money OK vs the others in that business.

Now the scumbag things Trump does vs Hillary. Liar about keeping secret stuff secret. Liar about what caused Bengazi so her boss can avoid problems during the campaign. Earns millions giving speeches to people she says she will scrutinize and take down. I mean her daughter already made millions from these people and so has she and Bill, so why not take them down now. She has hers.

You are right Trump is a scumbag in my mind. Scumbag vs scumbag. Great choice we have coming up.

That sounds very familiar, though I don't remember the guy using an appeal to the authority of Drumpf.

                    • Trump at 49%, up 33 points in the CNN national poll that came out today. Double digit and sometimes 30 point leads in every state poll that came out today. Only good news was a Michigan poll showing Rubio beats Hillary head to head in Michigan but Trump and Cruz lose to Hilary by 5 points. So of course in that same poll Michigan Republicans give Trump a 15 point lead over Rubio.

Seriously, where is that suicide smiley?

Who's the write-in favorite this year? Last time around it was General Zod. If it comes down to Trump vs. Hillary, I might just write in Scooby-doo.

I disagree. Suicide has been added to the list of things it isn't politically correct to make a joke about. I don't think even 90% of the board protesting would cause the PC king to change his mind.
