You don't think women are as capable of being sanctimonious and aggressive as men?
You are a sexist jerk.
I didn't say that. If I didn't know better I'd think cougjunkie or HotLunch had hacked your account. Of course they can be. I feel it's far less likely given my experience.
However, I am a sexist jerk.

I wrongly inferred from your comment that you thought she was a he, that you were saying women couldn't be that way. But I don't apologize. I'll just make a mental note that your implications may not be what they really are.

Done and done. We all have been taught this already but last week my aunts bishop ran into President Monson and he asked the bishop about his food storage. The bishop said ok and President Monson said " well work on it fast and hard, if you only knew what I know." This was last week. But i am pretty sure we get the gist of what is coming
Yeah, I am sure TSM said it just like that. Hilarious.

I don't want to take this on a tangent but I call BS (not on you Scottie, but whomever posted it). If God has told Pres. Monson something that was important for the near future physical survival of members of the Church then just come out and say it, but to couch it like that is cowardly. I hope (and believe) Pres. Monson would not do this.
Rant over, please go back to laughing at your family and friends' personal meltdowns over politics...
"Friendship is the grand fundamental principle of Mormonism" - Joseph Smith Jr.
As to the meltdown, for those of us Mormons who voted for Mitt I think there was an element of tribalism that made the loss hurt just that much more. Whether or not we admit it, a lot of us viewed the election as a referendum on our faith as well as a referendum on our politics, and to see Mitt go down was hard in that respect. I don't want to say it's the same as the passion I've seen in the African American community for Obama, but it's at least a kissing cousin.
I just wrapped up the major annual trade show for my industry. I spoke to many today who were still nearly in tears over the outcome of the election. I had several tell me they can't watch the news and they cannot listen to to a word from Obama. Not a single person I spoke to was Mormon.
We are a divided country.
One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

I believe religion has much inherent good and has born many good fruits.

That's what the Three Nephites told my uncle's bishop when he picked them up hitch-hiking.

FTR, Elder Oaks specifically counseled against storing guns and ammo along with your food storage. CB is apparently full of a bunch of cafeteria Mormons.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I agree with Elder Oaks. You don't want any looters who happen to break through the perimeter to get to both your food and weapons/ammo. Those items should be on your person at all times.
