  • The Election Result Meltdown Thread

This is the official thread for meltdowns over the results of today's election. This is your one stop spot for "America turning its back on God" or "Women's and minorities' rights being set back fifty years" type knee jerk reactions. Feel free to document your own personal meltdown, but be sure to to share any other meltdowns over the next president or any other newly elected officials or passed or failed referendums. Any and all sources are welcome; Facebook, the media, cougarboard, utefans, friends, family, ward members, work colleagues or even fellow CUFers.

I'll admit I am pulling for Romney to win, but part of me wants to see Obama reelected just for the entertainment value from the inevitable meltdown from those connected in some way with people here. You might think less of me for wanting to see America fail just for my own amusement, but that's just how I roll.

I hereby dub this "Thread Proliferation Day". I suspect we will set some kind of record at the rate we are going.

I posted my meltdown 3 months ago.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

          Seriously, this is bullshit.

I honestly think you will get a bigger kick by going over and trolling CB. I just don't see a meltdown on here.

I know I am so, so, wanting Romney to win, but I don't feel any kind of meltdown coming on. The nice thing about elections every two years is if Obama continues to mess up, the Congress will become even more republican.

In some ways having a near complete log jam in DC could be a good thing. Democrats won't be able to pass their crap and republican won't be able to do the same. Only things that have the support from both parties will have a chance. BS bills that no one has even read won't have a chance.

It's good when DC is in gridlock. It slows down the meddling of politicians in the private sector.

What is on my mind. That this country will keep going down and become like the children of Israel of old. Following a ruler(Obama) who has no regards to God and his commandments. Sadly, this nation will fall as they did. God will turn his back on those who turn their backs on him. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

This board is not going to meltdown. People here are way too reasonable for that.
