Romney vs. Obama Prediction Thread

I have watched to much TV, broke my pledge to myself, over the weekend to not think Obama is going to win.Originally posted by OhioBlue View PostI see a lot of Romney fans here trying a little too hard to convince themselves of something deep down they know isn't going to happen. I don't think the guy would be horrible for the country and won't be too bothered if he wins. But he's not going to.
My prediction: Obama with 299 electoral votes.
Michael Barone is really the only "predictor" I have grown to respect over the years, but the onslaught of this poll and that poll and Obama's ground game and the percentage of the minority vote that will go Obama's way, etc. have me doubting despite Barone's prediction.
Of course the big surge for Republicans that occured in '10 was a surprise. Pelosi said the dems would keep the house.
If I feel like I do right now, I have a big decision to make tomorrow. I need to focus on whether to raise more cash or just sit tight.

Should Romney win, Axelrod will not shave his mustache. He's a liberal. They promise the world and deliver nothing.Originally posted by nikuman View PostIf PA goes to Romney I'm going to bed early so I can wake up early to watch Axelrod shave his 'stache. I won't argue that Bush promised no new taxes and then eventually did raise taxes. But let's remember which party controlled both the house and the senate when Bush Sr. was in the White House, shall we?Originally posted by scottie View Post
Do I need to post the video of Obama saying that the oceans will subside and the earth will heal? Or that he said he would cut the deficit in half?"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

I'd be satisfied with you admitting that both parties promise the world and deliver nothing.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostI won't argue that Bush promised no new taxes and then eventually did raise taxes. I have no problem saying that, but in the case of Axelrod, I was specifically talking about him and his political leanings. I realize that I didn't make that clear, but should have.Originally posted by scottie View PostI'd be satisfied with you admitting that both parties promise the world and deliver nothing."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

What's the point of no return with mustaches, the point when you'd just look too hideous after shaving it so you keep it? I think it's 10 years.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostI have no problem saying that, but in the case of Axelrod, I was specifically talking about him and his political leanings. I think it depends on the creepiness factor. Right now, Axelrod looks like a serial killer. Without a 'stache, he'd look like a pedophile.Originally posted by scottie View PostWhat's the point of no return with mustaches, the point when you'd just look too hideous after shaving it?
