I'm not trolling. I really think religions should be taxed. I think they should be taxed heavily--just like tobacco sales.Originally posted by nikuman View PostSooner came in and stunk up the place. In my conservative estimates for a Romney win I have him taking CO, NC, FL, VA and OH. I am not sure he pulls out NV, but I can see WI and NH flipping easily. I think MI stays blue. But I really believe that PA is in play now and could be a tossup. Jay Cost had an excellent article about PA yesterday talking about how the state has been trending red over the last 20 years and if it weren't for the Dems fantastic ground efforts there over the last decade then it might have flipped already. He thinks the Dems though have hit a ceiling and Philly isn't going to be producing the returns as they did in previous years. I am feeling confident today so I'll take CO, NC, FL, VA, OH, WI, PA, NH and Iowa. Romney gets 315.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostRomney wins. I think the enthusiasm gap is real and great turnout for Romney will be the difference. Romney gets FL, VA, NH, OH, NV, CO, AND WI and he also pulls off the upset in either PA or IA.
I also believe the enthusiasm gap to be real and too difficult for Obama to overcome. Regardless of the outcome this will be an election to be studied and referenced for years."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

You want a sales tax on religions?Originally posted by SoonerCoug View PostI'm not trolling. I really think religions should be taxed. I think they should be taxed heavily--just like tobacco sales.

Now you are making absolutely no sense whatsoever."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

And how are we supposed to know? I have, and still do consider you quite an intelligent fellow with ideas one should consider. Even your previous trolling peaked interest and thought, at least for me.Originally posted by SoonerCoug View PostI'm not trolling. I really think religions should be taxed. Your latest efforts are not worthy of you. Not only are they blatant, but your method of arousing someone's frustration by labeling others as dumb, stupid, etc. is truly beneath who you are.
Perhaps you are going through some crisis and I am judging in error right now. If so, I wish you well.Last edited by byu71; 11-05-2012, 08:43 AM.

I think you'd better admit to trolling. Otherwise, you just come off as a blithering idiot.Originally posted by SoonerCoug View PostI'm not trolling. I really think religions should be taxed. I think they should be taxed heavily--just like tobacco sales.

If PA goes to Romney I'm going to bed early so I can wake up early to watch Axelrod shave his 'stache. The election would be pretty much over at that point.Originally posted by Surfah View PostIn my conservative estimates for a Romney win I have him taking CO, NC, FL, VA and OH. I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

I see a lot of Romney fans here trying a little too hard to convince themselves of something deep down they know isn't going to happen. I don't think the guy would be horrible for the country and won't be too bothered if he wins. But he's not going to.
My prediction: Obama with 299 electoral votes.

I will be surprised to see Romney win, but I think it will be close either way. I think the Republican turnout will be much greater than 2008."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
