    Hey! Go easy on Tim!

Tim's boorish behavior here came about one Friday the 13th, ~18 months ago, when Tim and Viking, in different places, said about each other at the same time "I wish I could switch places with him for just one day."

Well, I can't think of any time that you showed support for Mrs. Clinton until you posted this, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here.

And for the record, if YO is keeping track of my appointments as you suggested, he is doing a poor job of reminding me about them.

      • There's a piece of me that wants Obama to win just so I can enjoy the gnashing of teeth at church.

I shudder to think how horrible church is going to be if Mitt wins. These past few months have been a nonstop Mittmas.

I've produced copious amounts of posts in these political threads and clearly you're not a student of them. Honestly I don't blame you for not reading my spam, but I'm not any farther right than many posters on here. Off the top of my head, I've mentioned here that I'm at least ambivalent towards the gay marriage issue, I concurred with Mitch Daniels that the GOP needs to get away from the bible thumpers and criticized Romney for demagoging Rick Perry for letting the children of illegal aliens into Texas universities. I believe I even mentioned that the military can't be a sacred cow to the GOP when they're looking at trimming down government.

In almost every right leaning poster on this board I see nuance and very few that take the kitchen sink approach and accept everything from the national GOP, hook, line, sinker. I don't see the same nuance from you on the other side.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I'm more looking forward to the all out meltdown on Facebook and other places. Too bad the election isn't on a Friday or Saturday since most people can't hold a meltdown for 5 whole days....well maybe some of the Tea Party people can. I guess I'll find out!

            • Tim, your problem is that you believe the talking point that all conservatives are right-wing nutjobs that want to get rid of government and own millions of guns. The caricature you believe simply isn't true (well, IPU being the exception). It's the same caricature that Obama tried to paint on Mitt and that strawman came tumbling down rather quickly when people finally listened to him.

You'd be shocked to find out that most members of the GOP really aren't that different than your liberal friends

You really should learn about sarcasm, ERCougar. The all-caps was a sarcastic caricature of most of the regulars of this thread. It's unfortunate that this needed to be pointed out to you.

In all seriousness, colon cancer is devastating and I would never wish that pain on anyone. God bless all those who suffer from that disease.

The statement that you haven't seen nuance in my posts suggests that you haven't really read my posts. I support free markets, socioeconomic diversity, and the mildest of safety nets. I support limits on unemployment benefits, I oppose outright amnesty for illegal immigrants, and absolutely intolerance of Iran's possession of nuclear technology. I believe in a strong middle class, I endorse and protect the freedom of religion, and I oppose absolute environmentalism (that is: I believe in conservation when practical). I believe education is the key to peace. I also happen to believe that a woman has the ultimate choice with regard to carrying through with a pregnancy, that we need to take care of the mentally ill, the aged, and the poor -- that means providing education, opportunities, care, and sometimes money. I also think that our health care decisions shouldn't be made by profit-driven insurance companies.

I don't believe in that caricature at all. Not in the least bit. You're incorrect to suggest that I believe that.

                      • Can we quit all the Tim Talk and get back to why this forum was created: to point out what a lying SOB President Obama is?

Focus people, focus. Only two more weeks to election day.
                        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

It really feels like you continue to base your assumptions of who I am and what I believe on what people like IPU and CMBF say, not what I myself say... because I've regularly said that I'm not the biggest Obama fan. When are you going to take that into your mind and stop making poor assumptions about me? Why do I have to suffer from your inability to keep track of things?

I don't think he lies. But I also think he has been an awful President of the US. I think it is because "he did his best..but his best wasn't good enough" is what is going to get him unelected.

I fixed the headline to be more correct:

In the final debate, Romney disavows almost everything Obama's campaign said that he's ever said he's ever said on foreign policy while the media just shrugs
                              Why wouldn't they just shrug?

At this point it doesn't matter if he lies, is Muslim or is a Communist/Socialist or uses Michelle's backside as a trampoline. His policies have been an abject failure and he's done absolutely NOTHING to give any reason to believe the next 4 years will be any different.
