Ryan got back in it on medicare. Biden hurting himself by sounding glib like you said. Laughing and looking at heaven is poor form. Even my wife said he looks like a jackass.

Exactly now Biden is trying to be assertive but can't do it with out being an ass.

I love Ryan pointing out that when there is nothing to run on, you use scare tactics. It's making Joe laugh right now, but that's on the outside. Inside, he has to be seething.

I'm guessing that Joe will lose it before the end of the debate. Not so much in showing anger, but letting his mouth run faster than his brain and he'll say something like his 7-11 comments a while back.

Agree with him or not, the contrast in Biden defending Obama's agenda vs Obama's limp noodle debate performance, is stark.

Is it just me or has this turned into 2 on 1 with the moderator hammering on Ryan too?

It seems that many of the questions are even out of the liberal playbook.

Obama was a guest at moderator's wedding 20 years ago. Moderator's husband is Obama's FCC chair.

Biden comes off as a goofy pro wrestlers manager and Ryan is hesitant and nervous. I dislike Biden more then before the debate.

Both of these guys are fumbling right now. Biden needs to go into storyteller mode. Ryan needs to keep his wonk under control.

Right now, this debate is a wash.

Ryan should try to goad Biden. Biden should relax and ease up on the interruptions.

Gore v. Bush I redux. Biden looks like a total ass, but Ryan doesn't look great either.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

This debate is uncomfortable: Ryan looks nervous and hesitant. Biden is grating and boorish. Not sure either guy is helping their ticket.

Just a thought: I would love to see Chris Christie in the debate tonight.

This is such a side show, it is sad.

Biden should do more mirror work.
