Don't worry; we won't come to Utah, hat in hand. Over the past several decades, in measuring dollars paid by a state's citizens to the U.S. versus U.S. dollars going back to the state, Utah has been a bigger drain on the federal budget than fiscally irresponsible Californians have been. Interestingly, New Jersey and Illinois, the two other states you'd hate to assist, are among the least dependent on federal dollars and are ranked way below Utah when it comes to sucking at the federal teat. We won't ask you for our money back.

It would be interesting and I will google it, to know how much of the money spent on Utah is spent on Federal lands. When I know that I will be in a better position to know if I should thank California or not.

I may be off - but I think the Libertarians will let you sit on your fanny and smoke all the pot you want. But you'll also have to deal with the consequences of potentially not having an income or means to then pay for food, housing, etc. So unless you are independently wealthy, your choice to smoke pot may result in you also being homeless, hungry, and eventually without the money to get more pot.

But I could be wrong.

If true, that is how they are different from the democrats when it comes to the sitting on the fanny and smoking pot issue.

I found out a few weeks ago that my pre Obamacare policy is being dropped by Humana. It doesn't fit within the Obamacare guidelines. I'll go from spending $250 per month to $1000 per month.

For right now, I'm getting this super duper Aflac type policy that pays out a significant amount of money in the event of a hospital stay. I'm also beefing up my auto insurance coverage for hospital stays. Until the equity in my house starts greatly exceeding the homestead exemption, I'm not spending $1000 per month for the privilege of having insurance kick in after I spend $5k.

I'm so not looking forward to October when my company rolls out our new health benefits. I love, love, love paying 1000 a month for the worst possible coverage possible. I'm assuming when I sign up again, it'll be 1200 a month for even worse coverage! YAY!

Maybe if the GOP didn't predict that everything the Dems did would be a failure then people would believe them the few times their prediction had merit.
