If true, that is how they are different from the democrats when it comes to the sitting on the fanny and smoking pot issue.Originally posted by Eddie View PostI may be off - but I think the Libertarians will let you sit on your fanny and smoke all the pot you want. But you'll also have to deal with the consequences of potentially not having an income or means to then pay for food, housing, etc. So unless you are independently wealthy, your choice to smoke pot may result in you also being homeless, hungry, and eventually without the money to get more pot.
But I could be wrong.

Huh?The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said that the $22 million in grants will help in the planning and implementation of select federal market reforms and consumer protection, as well as “bringing down the cost of health care coverage.”
Also, "bending the health care cost curve" has lost all meaning other than an indicator to me that the person saying it is probably FOS.

Obamacare's bubble"We have done nothing to improve the outcomes of the 10% of the population that drives 80% of our claims costs. We have merely pumped billions of dollars into these [ObamaCare] exchanges masking the real problems. Unless the government can continue to pump money into these exchanges, the end result is not that hard to imagine. It is not a question of how, but when, this will all come home to roost.""Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. Aetna flees the Obamacare option.

But the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says that it has implemented new regulations to make the exchanges more appealing to insurers. For example, HHS says new rules make it more difficult for Americans to abuse the system by buying insurance when they need it and dropping it when they don't, which is illegal and extremely unprofitable for insurers.
HHS: Hey, you cant just go and buy insurance now that you need medical treatment.
Consumer: Do you want me on the insurance exchange or not?
HHS: But it says that you had insurance last year. Why didn't you keep it up?
Consumer: Dude, I lost my job and couldnt afford it.
HHS: You cant buy insurance only when you need insurance.
Consumer: Mmm-hmmm, that's exactly when I need it, so that's when I buy it.
HHS: That's not fair, you need to keep up your insurance premiums even when you don't have the money.
Consumer: Oh, so it covers hunger then? And gas to get to work?
HHS: If you keep that up, I'm not going to allow you to buy back in whenever you want.
Consumer: That sounds like what we had before Obamacare.

I found out a few weeks ago that my pre Obamacare policy is being dropped by Humana. It doesn't fit within the Obamacare guidelines. I'll go from spending $250 per month to $1000 per month.Originally posted by Katy Lied View PostAetna flees the Obamacare option.

For right now, I'm getting this super duper Aflac type policy that pays out a significant amount of money in the event of a hospital stay. I'm also beefing up my auto insurance coverage for hospital stays. Until the equity in my house starts greatly exceeding the homestead exemption, I'm not spending $1000 per month for the privilege of having insurance kick in after I spend $5k.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I'm so not looking forward to October when my company rolls out our new health benefits. I love, love, love paying 1000 a month for the worst possible coverage possible. I'm assuming when I sign up again, it'll be 1200 a month for even worse coverage! YAY!

Does anyone still defend Obamacare other than the ultra dyed in the wool Dems? Many people predicted it would be a disaster and it's pretty much been exactly that. Maybe if the GOP didn't predict that everything the Dems did would be a failure then people would believe them the few times their prediction had merit.
