Tecnically they sued the Secretaries of the Treasury Department and Health & Human Services Department.
And it took so long because they couldn't find any law firms who would take the case. That's the hallmark of a winning case, isn't it?If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

Adding this the "Harvard is overrated" file...
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/06/us...s-faculty.htmlHarvard Ideas on Health Care Hit Home, Hard
For years, Harvard’s experts on health economics and policy have advised presidents and Congress on how to provide health benefits to the nation at a reasonable cost. But those remedies will now be applied to the Harvard faculty, and the professors are in an uproar.
Members of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the heart of the 378-year-old university, voted overwhelmingly in November to oppose changes that would require them and thousands of other Harvard employees to pay more for health care. The university says the increases are in part a result of the Obama administration’s Affordable Care Act, which many Harvard professors championed.

http://www.wsj.com/articles/health-i...sts-1432244042Health Insurers Seek Hefty Rate Boosts
Major insurers in some states are proposing hefty rate boosts for plans sold under the federal health law, setting the stage for an intense debate this summer over the law’s impact.
In New Mexico, market leader Health Care Service Corp. is asking for an average jump of 51.6% in premiums for 2016. The biggest insurer in Tennessee, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, has requested an average 36.3% increase. In Maryland, market leader CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield wants to raise rates 30.4% across its products. Moda Health, the largest insurer on the Oregon health exchange, seeks an average boost of around 25%.
All of them cite high medical costs incurred by people newly enrolled under the Affordable Care Act.

No way. When you have health insurance and disallow insurance companies from including risk, because it isn't fair to reward those who win the genetic lottery, as a component of cost the rates go up for the many responsible people who have taken care of themselves and lived by the rules? Generally speaking the democrats and their understanding of economics is like the Widget manufacturer who being told he was losing 20 cents for every widget sold, said then we will just have to make up for it by increasing our volume.
Think about it, Elizabeth Warren who is the progressives champion for the poor and middle class does not have a background in economics or finance.

The refrain from "progressives" is that Bill Clinton "created" a great economy with new Keynesian economics, ignoring of course the tech bubble and the mortgage problems his policies created after they crashed. Thus, if you do it like Bill, by taxing and spending, you will create a great economy."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

If I were your company management, I'd root out every money losing profit center in the firm and close it up and declare the loss. This is one golden opportunity to bury all the bodies and blame Obama. Health Plans raise premiums
Regulators in many states have the power to reject price increases, and many who don't are expected to at least pressure insurers to soften their plans. Health insurance price hikes have been the subject of growing scrutiny for years."Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point.
