I would think that politically it would be more popular to not delay this part of the law. What it highlights is governmental incompetence.Do Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

One more midterm election delay.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostIf Obamacare is so damn terrific, why does Dear Leader continue to delay bits and pieces of it? Surely it isn't about political expediency.

The delay avoids insurance premium increases to cover the costs of the change until after the midterms.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostI would think that politically it would be more popular to not delay this part of the law. I am now hearing Obama's staff is getting some kind of waiver. When I get time I will really look into this and see if your and Cali's "it's no big deal" claim holds water. I hope you guys are right because I rely so heavily on you both to bring me the truth.Originally posted by imanihonjin View PostAs an Obama hater, this is really a false attack. All that happened with Congress and their staffers was to allow the federal government to continue to pay up to 75% of the staffers and Congressmen/women/peoples premium under the insurance exchanges. Without such a waiver, these individuals would have gone from having 75% of the premium covered to nothing.

Of all the stupid things this law does, of which there are legion, this is the dumbest IMO. I believe that low premium/high deductable plans are one of the principal reasons that actual health care spending has had its cost curve bent downwards the last few years. However, this law made many of them obsolete.

It certainly seems to prove that the "If you like your plan you can keep it" line was a lie.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostOf all the stupid things this law does, of which there are legion, this is the dumbest IMO. Good to hear. By the way, have I ever told you that I can get you in on a ground level of a new investment vehicle that is guaranteed to yield a return of at least 40%. Let me know if you are interested.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI am now hearing Obama's staff is getting some kind of waiver. LOL, 40%, LOL. Apparently you don't know who I am. I stopped accepting 40% returns when I was 13.Originally posted by imanihonjin View PostGood to hear.
