Some guy on Fox noted that one of Mitt's problems is that he is an alpha male in a religion that discourages alpha male behavior. I was thinking the same thing the other day.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

You think all men look evil or creepy.

              Even harmless Occupy Austin protesters.

I think this is my problem, too.

Hey, you knock that off. Anytime you have a solitary female unexpectedly surrounded by dozens of males, she's going to feel extremely uncomfortable. Even if she knows that there's no reason to fear for her physical safety. There's just a tremendous imbalance of power there. And indeed, I suspect that one of the reasons men say some of the things they do is to exercise some of that power.

Speak for yourself, Babs. You might even be speaking for the vast majority of women, but there are also many women who would not have felt uncomfortable the way you did at the Occupy Austin homeless encampment.

Trying to put words into the mouths of all women makes you sound like a Nixon-era feminist.

Perhaps the Romney campaign has been doing this already, but I'd ramp up Ann's involvement in the campaign. The contrast with the very severe-looking Callista would be quite striking. Ann seems much more approachable. And Mitt stood by her despite her MS and cancer, the same diseases that Newt's first two wives had, and during which he had affairs and ultimately left them. Throw in Callista's erstwhile million dollar line of credit at Tiffany, her plastic hair, and her role as the woman who led to the break-up of marriage no. 2, and she has to be a major liability.

Arguing with her about that issue shortly after she has had that experience makes you sound like a putz in any era.
                        PLesa excuse the tpyos.

She's not. You can take the girl out of Cranbrook, but you can't take the Cranbrook out of the girl.

Pray tell of your extensive association with Ann Romney?

This is exactly what I was thinking last night. Besides being such a great person and a compliment to the campaign, every time she is out there it will represent a contrast to the relationships that New Gingrich has had.
