  • Its also pretty bad that they display Romney quotes and lead you to believe they are a translation of what he's saying in French.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Yeah, they really needed to clarify that.

Of course, I'm probably not one to be throwing stones over inaccurate subtitles.

        It's just totally stupid.

Plus, Mitt's French is a little hard on the ears.
        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Surely you agree. I was actually a little dissapointed. But I'm thinking Mitt speaking French that offends the effete tastes of the French should work to Mitt's advantage in middle America.

Still, such a stupid, stupid ad.

First - that the ad was made with the idea in mind that Mitt's fluency in the world's second diplomatic language cld be transformed into a liability.

Second - that far left Super PAC's are fully focused on Mitt even with him trailing Newt in Iowa, Florida and nationally - suggesting again that the Left has their sights trained on Mitt, and won't lay a glove on Newt unless he's nominated.

Third - that you managed to extrapolate from my post that I thought his analysis was accurate from the single word "amazing."
Got it. I agree. I didn't extrapolate anything. Thets why I asked what you meant.

                You're tiresome.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Well, I do agree that the accent is stiff and a bit awkward, but I am sensitive because these days I cant do any better. That this would bother people is amazing to me. He speaks french and this is supposed to turn people off?

It was a simple question, sheesh. Are you reading too much into things?

It shows that the Left is still mired in about 2003-04. France was so unpopular then, because of its craven approach to the Arab terrorist world post-9/11, that John Kerry avoided speaking French in 2004 and wouldn't even wear French ties. (Instead he repeatedly reminded everyone that he served in Vietnam). What a difference a few years makes. Except lefties haven't figured out it's 2012 now.

                        • One of the most interesting and relevant articles I've seen in this cycle.

                          http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-1...en-kaplan.html

‎"In other words, Bain Capital and Romney delivered spectacularly well for their customers, better than other PE firms that on average outperformed the public markets. Today, those customers include the California State Teachers’ Retirement System and the Teacher Retirement System of Texas."

                          Suck it, Newt.

                            • Washington Examiner endorses Romney today:

Romney has the misfortune of being an earnest man running in an ironic time, and the leitmotif of the Republican race so far has been the search for the "anti-Romney." Party activists reached out to several men who declined to run, and then Republican voters lavished their affections on, successively, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Herman Cain and now Newt Gingrich, all the while keeping Romney's poll numbers hovering around 25 percent. They have been searching for a candidate who shared their conservative principles, who had strength of character, and who, above all, could beat Barack Obama. We believe this candidate has been hiding in plain sight. Mitt Romney is not "too perfect," as some political analysts have argued, but he is perfect enough.
