Actually, I haven't told my kids to film cop encounters and I probably wouldn't advise it, mainly because I want to increase the chances of only getting a warning. But I completely support increased public scrutiny of police encounters. I understand police tempers will occasionally flare given the stress of the job. But there has to be continual and better training to make sure people don't get injured or die because a cop can't realize he's gone too far.
not defending the quickness of the shooting, but couldn't the cop have been reasonably fearful for his life here? doesn't look that clear to me.
