Every man who is being honest will admit that when he sees a woman, he scans her attractiveness in a manner not all that different from The Terminator (the film character). It's crass, but it's true and it has a hardwired rationality.

No, that's not what I said. In fact, I referred to behavior such as Arnold's as "excessive rationality."

I thought rational meant subject to reason or logic, as opposed to a primal biological imperative which is unaffected by logic or reason. Indeed, men's brains didn't evolve to promote spreading seed because it was rational; the urge to spread seed prevailed because doing so was successful. But this success was not at a logical or reasoned level, it was at an evolutionary level. Rabbits do it too; are they being excessively rational?

One might conclude SIEQ was simply being glib in his original post except he is then critical of someone who he perceives might be taking that approach. So rather than being glib and dismissive, he was apparently just wrong and dismissive. Or maybe he was excessively rational and his sense of humor was overwhelmed.
