It's not about getting credit. It's about living to fight the next go around. Trump will one day be gone. The base will follow the next man up. Trumpism will die out with him. But those who worked to undermine the party will not be welcomed back.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post
You guys are funny. Cox is getting ZERO credit for this. He is hated by the MAGA crowd. Hence all the drama and support surrounding that nutjob Phil Lyman.

It doesn't seem like a well-crafted law. There are probably a lot of retired law enforcement folks that would do this if they were getting paid a reasonable amount.
I know several teachers that carry concealed in the classroom. Maybe they should convince more of them to carry.

That statement would reflect Trumpism not being dead. Some sort of punishment or exile for pushing back against MAGA and for conservative values does not paint a picture of a post-Trumpist party. MAGA is ore than one guy and his ilk have assumed various positions of power and influence in and around elected office. They won't all get raptured as soon as Trump is done.Originally posted by USUC View Post

This isn't just a Republican thing. This is an in-group/out-group thing.Originally posted by frank ryan View Post

Sure, but the group we are talking about is the GOP. My thoughts are the same. If those dynamics are still in play Trumpism isn't gone. Also, it shouldn't be expected to be gone any time soon.Originally posted by USUC View Post

Just something to keep an eye on in case Mike Lee gets picked up by a 2nd Trump administration or for the 2028 primary.
Axios reported in July that Flake informed the White House he would leave his post in early September. A release from World Trade Center Utah said Flake, a Brigham Young University graduate, completed his ambassadorship to Turkey on Sept. 1 and has moved to Provo.

The Utah Supreme court unanimously rules against the Legislature.
https://www.deseret.com/politics/202...ment-d-ruling/Utah Senate President J. Stuart Adams and House Speaker Mike Schultz said the court’s decision was “unprecedented and troubling.”
“The Legislature offered the Court a way to preserve the voting rights of all Utahns, but instead, the Court took the chance to vote on Amendment D out of the voters’ hands. It’s a sad day for Utah and voters, whether for or against the constitutional amendments,” said Adams and Schultz.
Really, unprecedented? Doofi

This ruling is great. That whole amendment was terrible from the start. And the wording on the ballot is a joke."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
