What she didn’t do was offer any opposition to Trump. At all.
You are too partisan to judge this fairly. You are a hack if you don't think she offered any opposition. She did less than a month ago ffs. She won't disagree with him as much as someone with a D next to their name. If this is your only standard of opposition, there is not really any room for discussion here then.

She was deeply and severely troubled and grievously disappointed last month and I missed it? Well that is on me.

She has had symbolic resistance at best. She has chided Trump but hardly stood up to him or acted as a barrier. She is no Amash or Romney.

          • Looks like my strategy of only registering as a Republican before a Utah primary will need to adapt a bit. I can really only stand to be a registered Republican for the necessary couple of months.

              • What, exactly, does the Republican Party stand for?

"There's more to being a conservative than just 'owning the libs,'" Cox told Lewis. "I believe in a Republican Party and a conservatism that is about opportunity for everyone. We don't do that with these fake controversies, these false choices we keep presenting people."

                . . . . .

The Point: Voices like Cox are lonely cries in the Republican wilderness. The party is too busy posting "hilarious" memes trolling Biden to notice that Cox is right.
                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

That conspiracy-theory nutjob Steve Christiansen from West Jordan, who traveled to Arizona to observe their "audit" and called for one in Utah, has now resigned from the Utah House and also quit his job working for the church. He claims people have attacked his wife and family although he provides no details:

"While I expected, unfortunately, to be personally maligned and ridiculed as a public servant, I did not expect to see individuals attack my wife as they have, nor to see the significance of the impact of those attacks on her and our family,"
So why quit his job at the church? Apparently to focus on his podcast without his loony tunes views reflecting on the church:

"My desire is to actively express my feelings in support of liberty and our Republic. In doing so, I do not wish to infer that my views represent those of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints," Christiansen wrote in his resignation letter.

"I therefore believe it is best to retire from Church employment to avoid potential misunderstandings. I believe this will help the Church preserve its long-held position of political neutrality in matters of party politics."

                  ...

He also plugged his podcast, Restoring Liberty, as the channel he'll use to "educate regarding the history of our nation and the Constitution, and provide analyses of current events."
This dude has let Trumpiness scramble his brains.

Leaving the church (job) and runs a podcast. Typical!

                          • I'm absolutely disgusted by what the Utah Legislature did with the congressional redistricting. They took a awful gerrymandered map and then managed to make it significantly worse. The will of the people in our state was for an independent commission to do this. The response to that was to basically say fuck you, we are going to make it worse.

I've been a supporter of Governor Cox, but I'm disgusted by him too for refusing to veto this. It really goes against his campaigning that he isn't politics as usual. I won't vote for him again.

                              The vote was veto-proof.

I saw that a few weeks ago Rob Bishop actually resigned from the independent commission because they weren’t gerrymandering enough. I didn’t realize that the legislature had the ability to ignore it. I should have known Utah Republicans would never actually follow through the independent commissions suggestions unless forced to.
