We're so lucky to have this guy. That said, I'd prefer he focus his efforts on the Jazz.

Super sad about Sundance.
I hope Smith supports BYU a quarter as much as Ute fans say he does.

Cox turning extremely homophobic and giving in to anything maga is incredibly dissapointing and really he lied when running and betrayed his voters
Then he has the audacity to send a letter saying we dont really hate you guys
"Cox concluded his letter Thursday by addressing the LGBTQ community in Utah directly: “I know that recent legislation has been difficult. Politics can be a bit of a blood sport at times and I know we have had our disagreements,” the letter read. “I want you to know that I love and appreciate you and I am grateful that you are part of our state. I know these words may ring hollow to many of you, but please know that I mean them sincerely.” "
so whyd you ban anything related to pride month, flags , etc
I wonder what the next step is to hate on the people you say you love. Just another extreme maga bigot

I've voted for him in each election he rant and donated symbolic amounts of money to his campaign. He has shifted drastically over the last few years. It makes me sad, but yes Utah could still have done worse for sure.Originally posted by MartyFunkhouser View Post
Agreed. Sadly, not sure we could ever expect better in Utah.

And Phil Lyman loses yet again. This time he got beat by Rob Axson for the Utah Republican Party chair:
https://www.ksl.com/article/51314902...-lead-utah-gop
The comment section on that article is hilarious, with Lyman’s most ardent supporters vilifying Mike Lee and calling him a RINO now because he backed Rob Axson, as did their king Donald Trump. I can think of a lot of good reasons for vilifying Mike Lee but supporting Axson over the delusional Lyman is not one of them.Lyman took the stage to loud applause from his most vocal supporters, many of them clad in "Make Utah Great Again" hats and shirts. His six-minute speech wove together comparisons between biblical parables, the Boston Tea Party and the Salem witch trials.
Several Lyman supporters said they viewed the speech as comparing the pushback they receive from some party members to the persecution faced by women accused of witchcraft in the 17th century.
"We found out that you can't put the collective conscience in the hands of government or in the hands of judges or even in the hands of churches. It belongs to the people," Lyman said. "And we saw some people whose lives were destroyed by their own neighbors with the best of intention, trying to protect themselves."
I wonder how long it will take for Lyman to claim corruption as the reason he lost and to file a lawsuit?

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I'm not in favor of this change in the law. I also think the tweet needs to be a little more careful with regards to the reporting here. The age of consent laws weren't changed. What was changed is that if a 18 year old that is in high school rapes a 13 year old (still it is classified as a sexual assault) the prosecution can charge him with a lesser offense that doesn't require sex offender registry.Originally posted by myboynoah View Post
Also, fortunately, the age of consent is not 14 years old in Utah.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

I guess I'm a little more hard line on this. 18-years-olds shouldn't be involved with 13-year-olds. I don't understand how high school status changes that. And the timing is suspect.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Yeah, I’m with you. An 18 year old that has sex with a 13 year old needs to be on the sex offender registry.Originally posted by myboynoah View Post
