  • Latest poll shows them neck and neck.

I’m still skeptical that McMullen has a chance. I imagine it will break for Lee over the coming weeks, if there isn’t some big event that shapes the race.

Lee will win. It won't be close. 60% or more of the vote.

I agree with you that Lee will win, but your claim of 60% or more is ludicrous.

I'll bet you a large Via313 pizza (The Bobo) that Lee wins with less than 60% of the vote.

I don't want to make that bet because I'd want to lose the bet. Last election he got 68% of the vote.

              Against a D. This time it’s against an I.

I think Lee could be in trouble. I think it’s unlikely he loses, but within the realm of possibility.

i just wish his supporter for a coup would have cost him more votes.

He was doing what a lot of his base wanted him to do. I think it will be seen as a positive, not a negative. It should be seen as a negative.

McMullin should be pounding Lee's record as well. He has only passed like 6 bills in his 12 years in the Senate, and a few of those were to name buildings. He has voted No on some very popular bills, his obstructionism should be vilified. And Lee's promise to only serve two terms is something else to emphasize.

McMullin has been way too soft going after Lee. Disappointing.

He makes up for it by being very aggressive going after my donations.

Yeah. Let's send him more money so that he can buy more ads touting his CIA career and bragging that he won't ever take money from special interest groups.

Good grief, who is advising this campaign?

                        • The Utah legislature and Senate effing around with the Rules of Civil Procedure because they are pissed about the preliminary injunction with the abortion case is really effed up. It is going to cause massive problems. It is the wrong way to do things.

Also, the temper tantrum in general about the injunction will hand long reaching negative effects on Utah. What a joke. Our politicians in this state are short sighted and deplorable.

                            • Utah County Attorney's office has a really interesting interpretation of the brandishing statute. https://www.ksl.com/article/50711472...er-shot-by-fbi

Because it is a misdemeanor though, it would not have taken aways his guns except for the one he brandished at the time. Not saying that it would have prevented him being taken out by the FBI, but it seems to go back to the addage that we don't need new gun laws, just enforcement of current ones. The on call attorney should have had him hooked up to cool his heals even if they determined to decline charges later on.

The officer consulted an on-call prosecutor in the Utah County Attorney's Office and determined no crime had occurred, writing in the report that "Robertson had been exercising his 2nd amendment rights, albeit a little recklessly."

So the second amendment gives the right to use guns recklessly?
