There are several ways the elections can be fucked with, from MAGA elections boards refusing to certify results to ICE manning polling places

Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn etc have talked about this stuff.

It's also an oversight to equate concerns about what MAGA might do since they have lionized seditionists to the lies Trump told about 2020.

A wise man once said we should take what Trump says seriously (or something like that).

Okay, this seems way out there in terms of doable, although I think Trump would like to see it done. My question is how exactly would it be done? Somehow get the House and Senate to pass a law that would bring all federal elections under control of the federal government? I assume that would be ruled unconstitutional, correct? So, would it require a constitutional amendment to get this done?

Why did we vote to put ourselves through this?

I have no desire to provide the facts (Which you did when you brought up this would require the Senate and the House to pass a bill which would never happen. No way in hell would all GOP in the house be for that. I do have concerns in the senate as they are weak sauce. But SCOTUS would never let it stand.). Truthfully, the other reason is Frank is a smart guy and he knows better. When he provides a less ludicrous argument, I think we can all have a productive discussion. I have yet to see one that is reasonable.

While I agree I never imagined ICE agents being used as weapons against some stupid-ads turf war between Walz and Trump. But I also did not expect the level of warlike behavior against federal agents as we see now. Has anyone ever thought why Biden and Obama never had issues with the level of deportations they did during their tenure in these sanctuary cities? Maybe it is because these sanctuary cities seem to only enforce re law when it fits their narrative but we’re happy to collaborate with agents back then.

I've played the game of 'no way will that happen' with the more pessimistic members of my family. From 'Trump can't possibly win an election, no way Roe v Wade gets overturned, to no way can Trump win another term (I started getting wise at the last election). I don't bet against him anymore.

There is no level that is too crazy that is impossible for Trump to reach. We are firmly in the 'more likely' or 'less likely' phase of any question that get posed with Trump. Sure, most of the shit he flings at the country doesn't come to fruition. But that is by design. We need to pay attention to what triggers his primitive brain centers: his unyielding belief that he can't lose an election fairly, and when he does, it's because of the twin evil powers of democrats and illegal immigrants. The election was won by a couple of hundred thousand votes in a handful of states. He just needs to intimidate enough potential voters in strategic areas to win again. In 2026, and 2028 (this one is less likely!).

America does not approve of the way ICE/CBP and their leadership are handling things.

How are you defining criminals in this statement?

it has been proven that Minnesota and Minneapolis are handing convicted criminals who are also undocumented immigrants to ICE.

If you are stating that any undocument immigrant is a criminal just for being here, you are wrong. Most undocumented immigrants are in violation of civil law, not criminal. And it’s not the state, county, or city police’s normal job or jurisdiction to make immigration arrests.
