  • I suppose this is the most appropriate thread for Kristi Noem now that she's out of the cabinet (Special envoy for the Shield notwithstanding). But if there's any justice in this world, it should be her and not her husband that gets pilloried for sexual indiscretion. I mean his proclivities are kind of...out there. But hey, everyone has their kink. And Noem's came with flagrant tax dollar wasting.

Why does it have to be either/or?

      • Trump goes thermonuclear on Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Megyn Kelly, Alex Jones, and MTG.

Am I bad person if I enjoy these people getting their just desserts for supporting him in the first place? The only one I feel a little bad for is MTG. She seems to have genuinely done some introspection and soul-searching. Zero sympathy for the others.

Will be fascinating to see how this reverberates throughout the MAGA world. These clowns are still popular.

You are most definitely not bad enjoying some schadenfreude with those hucksters. Each of them held at least one repugnant view that Trump openly espoused when it suited him. And now they don't. Enjoy the worst of the YouTube audience, losers.

And yeah, I feel a little sorry for MTG. But she was the OG spokesperson of everything bad about Trump, so my sympathy is very limited.

          • The big question to me is: who still listening to this shit? He either loves you or you're a Low IQ "Piece of Shit" Loser whose ratings are in the toilet, as if that were the measure. He's called every single person that ever worked for him a stupid person, with the one thing they all have in common is that Mr. Trump hired them.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Dig your own grave, and save!

              So technically, he is right.

Funny that Trump says every foe is stupid or low IQ, but his business school prof said repeatedly that Trump was “the dumbest goddam student I ever had,” and Trump has engaged cadres of lawyers to threaten the schools he attended, preventing the release of his academic records. If the records were at all laudatory, Trump would have them on billboards. But he’s the least literate of any US president, making his claims of others’ stupidity hilariously ridiculous.

                • It's ironic that Trump mocks Carlson for getting fired when the reason he got fired was perpetuating Trump's stolen election lie.

Yup, fired because his pushing the lie about cheating voting machines cost Fox Noise over $1B in a lawsuit.

The answer is depressing; a f@&k ton of people. I've shared my thoughts and concerns about this stuff before but I think the reason a lot of people, many of whom aren't idiots get their news from these people, is understandable.

There are foreign actors propping up a lot of these influencers. There is plenty of evidence surrounding it. Russia is chief among the offenders.

There has been an undercurrent of conservatives complaining about mainstream media bias, whether it was warranted or not, for decades. Initially it took place almost exclusively on talk radio. But truthfully, mainstream media has a much better track record of reporting on the news than these jabronis do, but that doesn't matter. You will soon have adults who won't remember a time when GOP leadership didn't throw up constant whiny tantrums about "fake news."

The influencers are performative and have some charisma, even if don't see the appeal of people like Carlson, and this lends itself to listeners forming parasocial relationships. Consider how often they are referred to by their first names.
BTW, this is true of the the Trumps and other MAGA figure heads as well.

Add to that the unchecked spending and messaging power of members of the Epstein class like Elon Musk and people get psychologically herded into outrage loops. The emotionally reactivity and absurd tales become almost addictive and anyone directly challenging it becomes an ideological enemy.

I know that this is how you view the Right. But if I change Epstien and Musk to like Soros or someone else...this is exactly how the Right views the Left. And to be fair, both of us would be correct.

Hey, Soros isn't the same as Epstein and Musk. There are plenty of liberals caught up in the Epstein mess, but Soros isn't one of them.

My post was a lot more than I don't like these guys because they are rich and right wingish.

I don't have any particular regard for Soros, but invoking his name as a go-to parallel doesn't bring any context to to downplay the concerns regarding the situation when he isn't and hasn't done the same things.

But this part is still describing how someone on the Right sees most people on the Left "psychologically herded into outrage loops. The emotionally reactivity and absurd tales become almost addictive and anyone directly challenging it becomes an ideological enemy."

I don't think that is right. Is Soros accused of helping the billionaire pervert class escape justice? Use a little critical thinking here. Just because both sides have a bogey-man doesn't mean both sides are RIGHT. It also doesn't mean that both sides are WRONG.

Epstein is the literal slim of the earth. Soros is just a rich man that gives to Democratic causes. These two things are not the same. How far have you dug into this? It fees like not far.

You are correct. I haven't dug into anything. It isn't my thing.

What I am trying to share, is that how you view the Right is how they view the Left. Neither side is correct or superior of the other. Both are corrupt to the core.

I am just curious if you can see that.
