I am just curious if you can see that.
Honestly, most posters here are pretty centrist to center-right. I think most have real problems with the hardcore left and MAGA right.

I'm left of center in the streets (here) and harder left in the sheets (philosophically). Tick and others may notice when that socialist-curious part of me rears its head around these parts.

I think I get labeled as a hardcore leftist, I find that short sided. My voting record doesn't back that up. I'm definitely liberal but my policy positions are pretty varied.

My primary reasons for fearing Trump and MAGA are national security, foreign policy ones, old school conservative ones. And despite the constant hounding and cries of "chicken little," my prognostication batting average with subject matter is above average.

It's not so much left vs right. It's MAGA is uniquely awful.

There aren't any hardcore leftists on here, not by any non-Provo or Bible-belt standards

Of course, both sides are corrupt.

The problem exists when equating Epstein and his heinous crimes to Soros, who hasn't been accused (as far as I know) of anything remotely similar. Painting with such a broad brush ("both sides are corrupt, why look further") is not helpful or justified.

There is no doubt both sides have very corrupt members. Look what is happening with CA Dem. Eric Swalwell, resigning his seat and abandoning his CA gov campaign over sexual assault claims. Horrible, and I am glad he is stepping down (right thing to do). Look at Sen. Bob Menendez of NJ who was sentenced to 11 years. SO MUCH CORRUPTION with that guy.

The claim that "neither side is superior of [sic] the other" is not accurate, at least not during this particular snap shot in time. You cannot compare any democrat or democratic donor to the current corruption of Trump and his administration. Trump's net worth has nearly DOUBLED since he began his second term in 2025, from 3.9B to 7.3B. Coincidence? Fuck no. He and his kids are doing it OPENLY. And no one, repeat NO ONE has been brought to justice for anything in the Epstein files. That is absolutely ridiculous and wrong.

But George Soros gives lots of money to the democrats!

If I am wrong or missing something, please let me know. AGAIN - I recognize there is grift and corruption in every political party and likely in virtually every local office. Saying that "both sides do it" is incredibly lazy and dishonest. The matter of degree matters. Democrats have had very embarrassing and difficult corruption scandals in the past, and it will happen again. But please stop the equivocating.

Clearly he's alluding to me. But, that's a lazy assessment.

I am genuinely surprised that a guy who obviously had as much political ambition as Swalwell would resign so quickly. Good riddance, and to Gonzalez also who announced his resignation today.

He was also held accountable by his own. Thank god.

Correction, he was held accountable by his own once it became clear there weren’t any political consequences to holding him accountable.

I mean, you just have to visit reddit to see the outrage looping on the left. The extremes are the absolute worst. But right now, the extreme right is the one in power and that is currently the worst

The one for one ultimately made it palatable for both parties. Could be another round of D and R resignations for those two Florida members of congress.
