by the way, what are your thoughts on extreme tariffs and tax breaks that will increase prices for everyone and add twice as much to the national debt as Harris’s agenda?

Here is a good explanation of Trump's tariffs...

As for "extreme tariffs" you must be referring to the 100% tariffs that other countries put on our products like cars manufactured in the U.S. Why don't we have 100% tariffs on cars we import?

And Biden must have thought they were a good idea because he actually increased the Trump tariffs. What are your thoughts on Biden increasing the Trump tariffs? OMG, Biden increased the prices for everyone!

Increasing the marginal tax rates often discourage work, saving, investment and innovation which will reduce the GDP, which reduces the tax income. In other words, Harris' tax plan may actually increase the debt more. In short, if we can greatly increase the GDP then we may also greatly increase the tax revenue. Increasing the marginal tax rates usually will impact the GDP negatively.

Yeah, turd polishing is an economic theory... I think Paul Krugman got a Nobel Prize for that when he applied it to the analysis of trade patterns.

Krugman isn't a fan of tarrifs. No credible economist is. Pretty much no economist is regardless of political leanings. Why did you bring him up?

I didn't associate Krugman with tariffs. Krugman analysis of trade patterns is pretty much shinny turds, however.

No. I'm referring to the 200% and more percent tariffs Trump is floating. Even if it's true other countries charge US cars 100% (didn't see a link though Ted!), that's minor league. Your boy Trump is starting to muse about even 500%.

I am sure tariffs is yet another example of how Trump is so much smarter than conventional and accepted wisdom. Bring 'em on!

Do you have a link for this or are you relying on the same sources Lutnick often uses (i.e., one's ass)? I was under the impression EU tariffs on US autos is around 10% and Japan doesn't have any. The biggest obstruction to U.S. auto sales in those countries is the long-held belief that American auto quality is lousy.

I would say the American people were the biggest losers given they had to put up with Grandpa Joe and Harris for the last four years.
poor poor trump, always a huge victim.

Going to be hilarious when he loses to the dumbest, ugliest (way uglier than trump!), grossest, womanest, did I say ugliest? candidate ever.

                        poor poor trump.

actually, poor trump sounds about right, after NY takes starts selling off his real estate. the dude is going to die in a jail cell.

                        poor poor trump.

You are correct on tariffs, which is no surprise.

And also could you imagine driving an American suv around a city like Paris or Amsterdam? Not only would I cost a fortune in gas but you would have a tough time parking it anywhere.

I remember occasionally we would see a US vehicle in London. Totally out of place and impractical.
