Did you read the article? Embarrassing dude.

The Tango Blast, a violent, drug-dealing gang born in the Texas prison system, is growing in popularity and could change the Dallas landscape because it rejects old notions of prison gang exclusivity and lifelong commitments.
    [...]
At 16, Ricky already wears the stars of the Tango Blast. He was 14 when he acquired them, not so much because he wanted to join, but because he saw gang members in his Dallas neighborhood sporting the Tango Blast tattoos. To him, they looked cool.

But once those Tango Blast members spotted his tattoos, they were none too happy.

He said they told him that he'd get beaten up every day if he didn't join them.

"I didn't feel like getting jumped every day," said Ricky, who asked that his full name not be used.

So he said he met them in a field and they "jumped him in" to the gang.
So maybe he tattoo'ed "D-town" on his hand because he wanted to be like his brother and maybe he met someone during his time in the Dallas County lock up that "jumped him in" to the gang.

Sometimes these gangs require an act of violence before they will let you in. So maybe he was trying out for a "major league" gang to be like his brother.

Law enforcement sources briefed on the investigation told ABC News that preliminary information developed in the probe indicates that the shooter was in the U.S. Army in 2008 and was "removed due to mental health concerns."

In addition to the insignia on the shooter's equipment that suggested a right-wing extremist ideology, investigators have found social media accounts connected to the shooter that reveal hundreds of postings and images, including writings with racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist rhetoric, neo-Nazi material and material espousing the supremacy of the white race.

His brother, Christian Garcia, whose address is listed as that of Mauricio’s per records obtained, has several criminal records, including burglary of habitation and public intoxication.

It's been a while since my work dealt with gangs, but you will find inner city gangs affiliated with that segment, even if it's not the most common or quintessential of gangs. I imagine with the rise of MAGA and culture wars it will only get worse.

So if the gangs still have guns what good is it going to do to take away guns from the hands of citizens? To give the gang members the idea that they are easier targets?

Maybe the US should just get rid of all its nuclear weapons and that would stop the nuclear threat from Russia... Sounds like a great plan. "Oh look, Comrades... The Amerikans got rid of all their nuclear weapons. We should do the same!"

In one of the most gun friendly states where the governor is encouraging widespread gun ownership, most sensible citizens do not want to carry. I thought this was the very reason why responsible gun ownership was promoted. Maybe we just need more guns.

The former ban on assault weapons did nothing and the current supreme court is bound to rule that it violates the 2nd amendment. Talk about ridiculous.

In addition, there is no thought from the left on the collateral damage their open border policies. It like the left doesn't give a f*ck about people dying from all these drugs spilling over our borders. And they don't care about sex trafficking of all these young girls. The left is truly heartless to let this happen under their watch.

    In the last 72 hours...

800 lbs of meth... No fent? Good thing because just two milligrams can cause an overdose and kill you. And Joe Biden and other members of his party are clueless about how deadly it is... For example:

    https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZALhU2H8JKw

Given that there is over 400,000 milligrams in a pound that was enough to kill 4 billion people. And this is just the stuff we know about.

But Utahns don't care about this sh*t. They don't have a front row seat to border and are focused on Europe's problems. Maybe when fentanyl starts showing up in Utah schools, looking like candy they will start paying attention. But, oh no, there are bad things happening in Europe! Just give the Ukrainians some nukes and tell them to not be stupid like before and trust giving them to the Russians.
Tell me what any of this has to do with anybody's 'border policy?' Seriously. All of this is stuff they screen out at passport control at a point of entry. What should the 'border policy' be if you don't like the one that is apparently stopping drugs from being smuggled in?

Ho hum another day another massacre by gunfire. This thread getting bumped more than the 'Last movie I've seen' thread. We're just waiting out our gun fetishist neighbors' tolerance for bloodshed, I guess, which seems to be wildly higher than anybody thought.
