      :surprise:
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

It fits neither of those definitions.

The father of a 4-year-old Ohio leukemia patient has refused to allow her to take a long-sought Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World, saying the money should be spent on kids who are still terminally ill, the Sentinel-Journal reports.

McKenna May was all set to go after completing two years of leukemia treatment, reports the newspaper in Bowling Green, Ohio. But her father, William May, of Toledo, has refused to give his permission.

"Spend the money on a child who this might be their last memory," May says. "Kids who are only going to live a year or six months."

The Make-A-Wish foundation normally requires signatures from both parents, except when one is unknown or cannot be located.

The issue appears to be caught up in a domestic dispute. McKenna's parents never married or lived together. Her grandmother says the father only recently received visitation privileges, the Associated Press reports.

Not really asinine, but very funny.

"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Bad headline to the story. Should read "Soldier shoots friend, cures hiccups".

I have no doubt that the shooting cured the hiccups. He should at least get credit for that.

I suppose that's one way to read/spin it.

                      The whole quote is:
"One thing [President Obama's] gonna be asked is, why did he jump on [Hurricane Sandy] so quickly and go back to D.C. so quickly when in ... Benghazi, he went to Las Vegas? Why was this so quick? ... At some point, somebody's going to ask that question."
Now - I realize that having a handful of Americans under assault isn't the same thing as having a storm ravage the eastern seaboard. But it seems like a fair question to ask why campaigning was more important than protecting American's in Libya, but not more important than responding to voter's...er...I mean the public's...needs after a natural disaster?

The media does seem to have done a masterful job of making this about responding to Sandy rather than not responding to a terrorist attack. Good for them.

Do you know Michael Brown's history?

                          Of course.

But do you really think he was criticizing Obama for reacting too quickly? Or do you think he was trying to politicize the entire thing and draw attention to Libya and things that might be seen as a blemish on Obama's record?

I think he's a moron. I also don't think he really believes Obama is reacting to quickly.

I guess my point is that it's asinine for him to talk about any kind of emergency response. I'm not trying to spin what he said, frankly, I don't give a damn about the politics of it. I'm just furious that he dare comment publicly about anything remotely related to federal disaster response.

You should be more angry that Obama is using this hurricane to get in a photo op that makes him looks like he gives a damn about anyone other than himself. The sad part is that people actually think he cares.

I couldn't care less about Obama. I'm indifferent. And, he's not doing anything that anyone else hasn't done. Anytime there's been a disaster in my lifetime some politician has had a photo op.
