Are you talking about the Tea Party convention speech? She was clearly using a script during the parts I saw, and despite that, made this silly gaff:

. . . around the world, people who are seeking freedom from oppressive regimes wonder if Alaska is still that beacon of hope for their cause.
She'd do better just to use Obama's teleprompter.

For conservatives who have not lost most of our brain cells to NASCAR induced intoxication, this woman's undeniable popular appeal and our simultaneous revulsion for her is a troubling paradox. Maybe the left is right. Maybe people are too stupid to identify their self interests.
Very troubling indeed (the part about her undeniable popular appeal).

That Rupert Murdoch has given her a place on Fox is irrefutable evidence that he prefers money to political power.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Because she was somehow smart enough to get elected and and become a popular governor. It drives intellectuals nuts that there is a large segment of the population who doesn't believe it's necessary to have an ivy league degree to be a competent leader. Their intellect is their last bastion of superiority, and if common folk don't respect it then the poor intellectuals just become common folk.

I think there is a whole lotta truth in this. To be honest, I don't know much about the woman. There's been a whole lot of BS written about her, and I haven't cared enough to find out what I really think. I know that the Left has an absolute visceral hatred for her. And that's enough for me to say that I'm at least mildly a fan...

Nonsense. Nobody has said everyone in government needs an ivy league education. If you have a point, try to make it without obviating your argument in the process.

I don't need an ivy education president. I just want someone who is qualified for the job. Palin is not qualified.

This whole story seems weird. She had 3 things written on her hand and she used them during a Q&A session of the event. So either one of the following happened:

              1. She knew before hand what questions would be asked and prepared for this particular one by writing the note on her hand

              2. She got lucky and just ended up writing the answer to a random question on her hand

So either it was a scripted Q&A or she got lucky. I'm going to guess it was scripted, but then again I haven't watched any of it so I really don't know.

Expect there to be 36 SNL clips about this from now until 2012.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Come on, Palin defenders. This lady is uneducated and insane.
We need our president (and VP) to be smart.

Palin told multiple sources that she thought humans and dinosaurs coexisted just a few thousand years ago, and she defended this belief with the claim that she had seen photos of human footprints within dinosaur footprints.

Palin does not deserve a prominent voice in American politics, but she is given that voice by opportunists and people that are in denial about her stupidity.

Obama wasn't qualified either, but he is doing a pretty good job.

Obama is awful. Unless you are short the market. We are short (modestly) Brazil. Thank you, Obama.

It's the cult of celebrity gone awry. It's ok to celebrate our court jesters (actors/musicians), but the business of leading is far too important for people with catchy tag lines and no real experience.

Good point Eddie. Obviously scripted, and even then she needs to put little cheat notes on her palm.

Frankly, Palin's wearing that stupid McCain visor to the beach with McCain blacked out should be enough for anybody to put her in their rearview mirror. What are we as a nation, people?

I agree with you. I think he is a very talented politician and a very smart guy. The fact he uses a teleprompter and can't pronounce corpsman does not make him untalented or unintelligent.

Although I disagree with him on many things, I would never call him stupid. Heck, I wouldn't even call the gaffe machine Biden stupid.

blerg. Current form of Obama=1 term.

Obama - healthcare - anti street rhetoric + small business tax credits + reduction in employment tax = greatest american president
