It is interesting. I don't think Palin is as stupid as her detractors claim; what she has accomplished in terms of exposure is quite remarkable. She is well-known, influential, and wealthy. Whether or not she deserves any real credibility is up for debate, but credit is due for her ability to rise so quickly.

With that said, Obama is much brighter than George W. Bush, IMO.

After observing his first year of governance, it appears his amateurism is trumping his intellect.

The reason Palin gets so much attention is that there really are enough stupid people in this country that she could some day be president. Particularly having just announced that she will run if the opportunity arises, there's no reason not to remind people how retarded she is, particularly when she does something like this.

Same stupid people who elected Obama on hope and change? Nothing has changed and people are losing hope. That IS scary.

Of course, this is the same person that couldn't remember Joe Biden's name, so she started the debate by asking if she could just call him "Joe."

Joe = Joe? Sounds like she remembered. Hey, I wouldn't compare what Palin says to what Biden says on a consistent basis. That's why the WH hides him the best they can. He's less visible than Gore or Cheney.
