Interesting point. I find Stewart most entertaining. But let's face it, he's basically in the same business as Beck.

So he suggests, but then mocks the idea that Beck's craziness is having an effect on the price of gold, but then returns to the original point by suggesting the Beck is profiting from his craziness by affecting the price of gold.

Still, Beck provides plenty of ammunition for some very funny stuff.

This is a valid point. However, I think that there are people that tune into Jon Stewart to get their "news" for the day. Unfortunately some people do the same with Beck's show although Beck's forum should suggest to him that he should be more careful.

I used to like Beck's show. He used to bring on guests and discuss issues. I also have an inate ability to listen to someone and apply rational, professionally skeptical thought (something that I had to develop in my current profession) which is something that many others possess on this board. The discussions were never in depth nor were they even-handed, but I genuinely liked his sarcasm and found his show funnier than Stewart's. This was mostly back when he was on HLN.

I stopped watching Beck though after he decided to become a crusader for his libertarian agenda. I can't take his show anymore what with the 15 minute long soliloquies, which I think is the same text from show to show. He no longer offers anything new and his comedy/sarcasm is just flat out gone. He does strike a chord with others so that's fine, it's just not my cup of tea.

I do find it funny that if you want to know what Beck talked about, all you have to do is watch Olbermann since Olbermann's show at one point turned into a nightly report on the Glenn Beck show.

I also love on the FNC when they play that "fair and balanced" piece, when they actually get to saying "fair and balanced" it is at the specific time that Hannity is on the screen. Classic unintentional comedy.

I don't care either way, but that label just isn't true, whereas it should be obvious that Beck is, in fact, fearmongering with a large portion of his on-air time, cries constantly, and engages in various sorts of conspiracy crackpottery. So I'm not why this is annoying for you.
