Trying to prove that Obama is more intelligent than Palin is like trying to prove that French cheese is smellier than American cheese.

I will say that my favorite Obama gaff is when he said something along the lines of "How do you say it in Austrian?"

Off topic, but this reminded me that a few nights ago, my sister brought some very expensive French cheese (Brie? I don't recall) which was delicious but with an almost overpowering smell. As she breathed in deeply the pungent odor she observed reverently (and this is probably not original to her), "Mmmmmmm, smells like the feet of God."

Sounds like a Gallic aphorism; the French do love their cheese. It is always interesting to me that in many cases, the cheese is much milder than its smell. Brie en croute - now that's good stuff.
