Arch, this is lame! It reminds me of one of the apartments I lived in in Antwerpen. We were the only non-hasidics in the entire complex and on the Sabbath I would sometimes get a knock on the door asking if I would push the elevator button for someone's grandma so she could get up to the third floor without any of them being responsible for using power. I absolutely don't have a problem with letting Arch report his miles through Creek but I can't see how that's not being a part of CUF. Arch you are that grandma and you are using power even if Creek is pushing the button for you. You might as well sign up and join us live and in person. I guess what I'm saying is push the damned button yourself!! You should have joined us months ago and you should be here making us all look bad in person.

Sorry, US. Challenge didn't start until today. Those miles don't count. I guess you had better strap on the shoes again tonight.Originally posted by UteStar View PostIn did 4.2 jogging miles on Tuesday. Thanks.
And neither do "jogging" miles. This is a RUNNING challenge, for crying out loud. Have some decency, man.

It's up. http://www.cougaruteforum.com/showth...723#post117723
I tried to get a form to work, but I'm inept. Just enter your mileage in today's column on the appropriate tab. Sorry the formatting sucks.

Hey....just thought I'd take a moment and say "thanks" to BBB for putting this little challenge together.
Great participation, lots of work on your part, and you've gone the extra mile to help us all have some fun this summer.
So...I know I'm not alone in sending you our "thanks" for organizing this, putting together your spreadsheet, and getting us all going.
Amazing job BBB!"Newton's First Law of Motion: ...things at rest tend to stay at rest. Things in motion, tend to stay in motion...."
Hmm... Good motivation for me to remain active I guess.

Go ahead and add me to the runners group as well, though I won't be able to log any miles for a few weeks.Originally posted by beelzebabette View PostI've added you. I figure we'll keep signups open through the end of the month in case someone was on vacation and missed the announcement."I don't mind giving the church 10% of my earnings, but 50% of my weekend mornings? We draw the line somewhere, and my vote is to draw the line with people who sign up to CUF. I don't know Archea or anything about his CUF aversion, but it seems pretty trivial to have to sign up to play. He doesn't have to participate in the board in any other way, but he should at least report his miles just like everyone else.Originally posted by creekster View Postdead indeed.
I can see the use of this bright line rule. Even so, I would be in favor of an arch exemption. For the record, he did say he is unlikely ot have a lot of miles in the next week or two. FWIW. No big deal either way.sigpic

I was hoping to get more opinions before I proffered mine. I say it still counts the same as running miles, with the caveat that you have to walk a 15-minute minimum at a time (so no one claims walking around the office).Originally posted by happyone View PostWhere do walkers fall into this equation. I generally walk 3 days a week and walk/run 4 days a week, 6-8 miles per day.
I guess if we don't get any more feedback, you can go ahead and count your walks, happyone. Some of us slow runners end up walking part of the distance occasionally anyway.
As for your proof question, we're accepting reported distances on the honor system for now. There are several websites you can use, like mapmyfitness.com, until your Garmin arrives to calculate distance.

I think that is a fair requirement.Originally posted by beelzebabette View PostI was hoping to get more opinions before I proffered mine.
